Henry Brown and Rhys Galvin joining them
Cooper Harvey, Tom Blenheim and Hugh Longbottom have also signed with Bairnsdale, joining Lachie Byrne-Jones who played there this year.

I’ve also heard a couple of others may be heading there but not 100% so I won’t post until it’s a done deal.

Collegians star, premiership player and 2023 best and fairest winner Sam Sofronidis is currently training at Coburg. I've heard the Coburg officials are salivating at the sight of him training.
He should go to Port Melbourne , Coburg are a basket case

Mike, any word of collingwood interest? Heard of a few rumours, nothing substantial, would be amazing if he somehow got there as a train on signing or something like that

Which league takes in Coburg, Preston, Frankston, possibly Port Melbourne/Williamstown when the AFL reserves competition inevitably kicks off?

No league in their right would vote them in, even with salary caps slashed they would dominate any 1st division. VAFA?
If all six clubs go to a local comp they would all have to start again from scratch. Would need new players, coaches and new people to form a committee.

Players would leave the club in an instant and go back to their local clubs, most likely where they grew up playing junior footy.

Current club people won't be involved if those six clubs become local clubs.

True. I saw at piranha park for VAFA finals Coburg had a abundance of volunteers helping out and doing odd jobs. Must be tough for them seeing the team struggle.

Maybe the Preston sides merge and become a mega Preston? haha

Both Preston sides should definitley look into that. The Northern FL wouldn't take em

Sam Fisher to OX and Jesse Palmer to SKOB. Both were on AFL lists at one point with Palmer playing 3 senior games with Port Power. Both are guns.

OX have also gained Howe from North Melbourne but have lost a few as well, including star defender Jordan Kelly to the MPNFL.

A fair bit to play out for the teams who finished towards the bottom of the table, whilst the reigning premiers are up to their necks with some elite talent they are trying to recruit.

A very early top four prediction would see Blues and Scotch out of the four from last year, replaced by OX and OB.

Scrap Howe to OX, he’s headed to another A GRADE club, with James Stewart, an Old Scotch boy, in tow…..WOW.

They wouldn't win a game in the VAFA because their players are only there for the money and a chance to be noticed by an AFL club.
When the money evaporates, so do their mercenaries.
