I see it! I see our great gameplan going inside 50.

If you kick a goal, the ball goes back to a 50/50 in the middle of the park. Much easier for the opposition to kick a goal from there. This is the least optimum result.

If you kick a point, the ball is still deep in your forward 50, there's a good opporunity to lock the ball in. This is slightly better.

If it goes over for a throw in, then its a stoppage deep in our forward 50. Thats really good for stopping the opposition from scoring.

Just like our forwards always trail to the ball. Its the best position to spoil the mark.
