Losing Lever and Cameron from 2017 was massive.

2 of your 22 gone.

9% of your team just wiped away. And they were probably 2 of our best 15 players (or better) so it's worse than that.

Reminds me of St Kilda after 1997. Lost Jamie Shanahan for nothing. Not sure why. The last quarter maybe but he was their first choice fullback all season. Gone.

Joel Smith to Hawthorn. Gone for nothing. Was injured but went on to play lots of decent football for Hawthorn.

So St Kilda are instantly 10% down on their best 22. No replacements.

It's a fine line between contending and making up the numbers.

We underestimated the impact of losing those guys. Are we even using any of the picks we got for them?

Add Gov to that. He was big for us in 17.

Five minutes before the end, Patrick Cripps has 39 disposals and the equal all time record of 19 clearances.

Don't need to tag of course. Good teams don't tag

I didn’t watch it yet - but are you ****ing kidding me?

We let one ****ing midfielder tear us apart, again?!

These clowns are incompetent and negligent.

So we had the same inside 50s count, let me guess, we bombed, they passed and that why they had 15 inside 50 marks to our 5?

3 guys who had X factor and aggression and are just entering their prime years. We are now left with a vanilla shell of a team with minimal natural talent. Tomorrow if we said we want to cut all senior players who are past their best and players who are incapable of playing consistent football you quite easily cut a 1/3 of our list without giving it much thought. I don't recall our list ever looking this bad. We're in trouble.

Past their best:
Sauce
Douglas
Betts
Jenkins
Gibbs
Otten

Never had a best:
Atkins
Knight
Wilson
Mackay
Gallucci
Poholke

Incapable of playing consistently good football:
Hartigan
Greenwood
Murphy

Worst forward line coach in the AFL + having completely the wrong forward structure = why we've gone from the best forward line in the AFL to complete shit in the space of 18 months.

Ben Hart is an unmitigated disaster, he was a cheap stop gap solution that the club arrogantly thought they could get away with to try and save a few bucks.

Nothing wrong with the Crows guys. Everything is good. No problems and nothing to see..
We're in the 8 so clearly no problems at all. We're right where we want to be.

I'm sure if I was a fly on the wall at the club during the week I would hear the following statements.

"The season is still alive"

"The positive from the weekend was that Gibbs, Betts and Douglas have found form in the SANDFULL"

"A few more experienced heads should be just what we need to hold on to 8th spot"

🤮🤮🤮

For us? Wow. Rob was huge, Tex had an impact, Kelly put up a fight. Sloane got a lot of it but was ineffective at best and ragdolled like a toddler at worst.

Anyone else see the Crows fan attempting to burn his jersey today? Outside gates 2-3 after the game. He had a big crowd of other Crows fans cheering him on but a bunch of cops came to break it up.

They weren't aggro or anything...just understandably shocked at the loss.

By any chance is that guy a poster on here?

Wonder if a coach inside the 8 has ever been sacked mid season.

I doubt we'd do it, after all were still technically in the race for the finals. (from a club point of view)

The problem is the club is rotten from the top down - it's hard to know where to start since the primary decision makers are the biggest problem. There needs to be a spill of all board seats, then an open election so members can get a full and independent review of the entire club. Get the right people on the board so the right decisions can be made about rebuilding the footy department, coaching panel and playing list. The last thing you want is for this board to make those decisions.

Don will be gone within 12 months. Chapman, Roo, Burton, Hart will remain.

Interesting to hear Rowey say we couldn't afford to pay for quality in our coaching group because we over-invested in the fitness dept. By the sounds of it we had to bring in people to make up for the shortcomings of others.

****ing kidding?

So we overspend to compensate for incompetents instead of replacing them...

And we’re the unfittest team in the comp!!!
