Dan is building... he was very good in the early and then got a bit quiet and then worked himself back into the game... you can see he will have a 20+ disposal game very soon.
I hope so, he could be unique as a 198cm wingman who bench presses 150KG (or 2 Lachie Sholls).

The reality is that a big part of us playing better is the better drafting since RT.

Plus trading in Rankine.

Trading in Rankine and the stroke of luck that it coincided with Michalanney being a F/S that year so we didn’t miss out on that draft has essentially fixed the 2018 miss.

Before the game I would have been happy with a 3 goal win away at the G. To kick 25 goals and win by 10 is more than what I could have hoped for.

We will be the highest scoring team in the competition again this year and are a joy to watch again. Yes we have an "easy start" but I don't give a **** as we had the hardest draw in the competition last year and it's about time we banked a few wins early.

Positive of the first two weeks is actually winning games in that way against poor opposition. Years gone by we struggle our arse off for 3 and a half quarters and then get a 4/5 goal win to paper over some cracks.

These first two wins have been convincing start to end.

As much as they have bemoaned for some time Laird and Crouch have been very good in roles that are suiting their game. Played to their strengths and credit to them they have bought in. Laird 23 touches at 100% and 353M gained and Crouch 32 at 90% 7 clearances and 10 score involvements is great going.

Can't complain about winning by 10 goals at the MCG against a team that, while poor, aren't going to finish bottom 2.

One big positive is that I felt like the forward line functioned extremely well, another tick for the 3 talls approach. All had good games, including Walker who worked up the ground a lot and did plenty to help the others score - 3 goal assists and 10 score involvements. Couple of excellent passes to Fogarty that he wasn't able to mark as well, so easily could have had 4 or 5 goal assists.

Fogarty and Thilthorpe were terrific and the Keays/Rachele/Neal-Bullen team of smaller forwards were incredible as well. Nice to be able to rest guys like Rankine in the forward line on top of that.

Excited to see how we go against Gold Coast and Geelong in a couple of weeks.

Good

Broke our MCG Hoodoo
Good team effort, a lot of players contributed
Rankines goal
Rash and Keays both getting 4, makes us a bloody hard side to defend
Keays super spud goal, what a helicopter, Sticks Kernahan felt a movement watching that
Scholl, gets a bloody shit wrap on this board but he has been doing a great job for 12 months

Bad

People complaining about us conceeding 15 goals, when you kick 25, you are playing a very attacking game, would have liked them to keep them below it but it is minor
Rob, for one, he needs to be instructed "stay out of fwd 50" "don't call for the ball" and " learn how to ****ing mark" outside of that he is OK

Ugly

Yeah not much hey?

Cumming and Peatling will take time to blend in to this team but they are quality, they went when it was their time.
That's the thing about role players like them as well, they don't need to be starring and getting 25+ touches every week. They just need to not be a liability at any time, and go when it's their turn, like you say

Getting Murphy and Berry out of the side for those two has really raised our floor
