I'd like to say the pre game stuff was the best we've had in years.

Loved the Sax man on the roof and have Sandstorm before the bounce was fantastic that will go off at a night game!

Even the song that played as we ran out was much better than bloody seven nation army that's tired old and over used.

On the broadcast it sounded like Sad But True by Metallica. Probably not the Metallica song I'd have picked (Seek & Destroy and For Whom The Bell Tolls are right there) but a long way better than Seven Nation Army.

Can't stand that song, and the worst thing about them playing it pre-game was that my 8yo fell in love with and always wanted me to play it on Spotify. That shit ruins your algorithm.

Sounds like this is going to be one of those stupid "Fog sucks because he's never had [emoji6] touches in a game" things

I’d much rather a long debate about whether he’s shoulders tall or neck tall. (Not joking, one of my favorite debates on here ever)

Well if this version doesn't rock your boat your officially dead.
I said back in November last year on the music you are listening too that this should be the Crows home ground song. Why do we have to keep moving with songs when overseas games have official club songs from the 60s and 70s.

It sounded great at the ground. Love those drums.

I do always laugh at the big pump up vibe we create as we run out... that quickly dies when we then start playing our jovial theme song.

It's a funny moment, but it's one of the things I love about footy. That our club identities are heavily tied in with these silly little ditties that were written 30, 50, 100 years ago. It's such a quaint little tradition and I love it.

They weren't even missing that many players.

Phillipou, King and Owens yes.

Their midfield was nearly full strength. Guys like Dan Butler, Liam Henry and Paddy Dow aren't making any difference to that result.

They made Port look like premiership contenders and Finlayson an All Australian half back. It was a great first up game but apart from confidence and the four points we can't take much from it. It was fun too watch as fans.

Was always going to be tough for them. They were effectively missing half their starting forward line (King, Sharman, Owens) which was compounded by them delisting Membrey (who kicked 4 for Port) - Add in the fact that they had to play a massively underdone Rowan Marshall up forward and they never looked like kicking a winning score.

Really liked that fog has started the year well. He and filthy are a great mix who will play a lot of footy together.

Feel like fog often takes a month or so to get rolling and some people in here were jumping at preseason shadows.
That’s not like people in here…..

Its been a long time of watching this team gift players games. They have the depth and sets a bad standard to gift games to a kid who doesn't understand the level yet. Its time to make him understand you need to earn your spot.
Don’t buy this myself. The history of gifting games has largely been for spuds.
Curtin has talent and needs to be persevered with.

This will be disputed, but I reckon it was Nicks.
Watch his post-match presser, where he talked up ROB's game and said that ROB "... was massive" (starts at 8.46 near the end of the video), but yeah ROB 3, Rankine 0 is odd.
I must admit I thought Rankine was quiet at HT, before I looked at the stats.

ROB did as he should have, and dominated a rookie opponent.

It was probably all the handpasses re: Rankine, not that they were a bad thing, just a little less obvious than usual

Killed it in the 3rd, though

He was awesome in the centre got first touch and clearance a few times, particular in the first.

This is my favourite too, because with an appropriate haircut, surely you can get a couple more inches too.
