**tank issues make him the perfect sub, but let's see what he's got.

What's wrong with Dunstan?

If Montagna is to be included, I would probably like to see Schneider make way. Joey could play his spot, or we could swing Billings to be more up forward in order to accommodate him in the midfield.
Roo is a tougher one. Hickey would be the obvious choice, but I would rather see how he plays in the same side as Longer and Roo. If there is any need for Membrey to have a rest, maybe this week would be ideal.

This is the first time in quite a while that there is genuine competition for spots all across the park. Goddard, Curren and Saunders quietly making a case; two true ruckman firing; Acres demanding a full game; Templeton and Minch pushing for small forward positions and we're having trouble finding a spot for Riewoldt and Montagna (!).

Feels good man.

Don't like the idea of dropping kids like Sincs. What has he done wrong? He might have been quieter against Essendon, but still did some good things, especially for a guy that has played 4 games. Wouldn't play Curren or Saunders over him unless Sinclair has an absolute stinker and Curren and Saunders tear it up in the 2's. Sincs is a gun and needs to keep playing.

Acres should definitely get a full game this week, he found himself in good positions and took a couple of great marks, even though his disposal failed him a couple of times. He deserves it based on how well he has been playing the VFL. Just needs more AFL experience and game time, and he will be a stud for us in no time. Very harsh to drop him after giving him one quarter to play.

After all that roasting of Schneids after the game on Sunday, I'm surprised he hasn't been spoken about in our OUTS more. I think he will make way for Montagna. Schneids was playing a pretty similar role to Monty, and doesn't do it better than monty.

This is going to be harsh, but Hickey or Membrey need to make way for Roo. If we play Roo with Hickey, Membrey and Bruce, we will be far too tall for a great counter attacking/rebounding team. We will get run over by pace. Don't like it, but Roo has to come in for one of them.

Would also like to see Tom Lee and Hugh Goddard get a game down back for us, really interested to see how they would go. Hope Tom Lee can 'do a Robbie Tarrant.' Probably not the game for them to come in though. Hope to see at least one of them in our 22 soon.

Want to see Minchington come in as well, but have no idea who could make way for him. Lonie is too much of a gun.

IN: Monty, Roo
OUT: Schneids, Hickey

I'd be dropping the less effective players before i dropped Schneider, and the coach was quick to sing Schneider's praises.

Stringer the danger man for us.
Would love to see Roo play on the wing and allow the forwards to keep working together.
This has to happen IMO. It should almost have been our standard set up since the Freo match last year.

Disagree on Dempster not being able to cover Stringer or Fisher

Dempster has played on an beaten
Franklin, Gartlett, Rioli, Betts, Lecras, Boomer and takes KPPs regularly

Dewah,

It happens regularly... Mismatches created by rotation.

If it can be done for 1 minute it's a problem for opposition... Backs can only rotate when the ball is in certain areas or between goals.

In general the back 6 remains pretty steady throughout ... For instance
Geary, Delaney, Dempster, Savage and chips have played behind the footy in every game this year. Almost solely. They flip opponents, and cover but can be caught out as we've seen

The fwd structure is trained to the minute.... One is generally a rotate

And the mids do bursts with two rotating, perhaps rolling through a flank of pocket but not always.

Schnieder out, Montagna to take his spot.
Savage given a rest (don't want to aggravate hammy) Acres takes his position.
Dunstan given a rest (if the slightest bit sore) Membrey to have a gallop in the guts.(big&strong)
Roo into side, still might have a top heavy forward line, so either Minch or Tempelton ont the bench as sub.

Yep, I'd be staggered if he got dropped. Everyone made mistakes for us on the day and have all throughout the year. Nick Riewoldt used to miss clutch goals time after time after time. The number of times Dempster and Geary just threw the ball on the boot and kicked it forward willy-nilly on the weekend when they had time to do something better with it just drove me nuts.

Kicking for goal aside (he's missed his last 5 shots and hasn't kicked a goal in his last 3 games) Adam's in some of the most consistently good form of his career and I'd very confidently say would be in the top 8 or 10 in the B&F right now. Provides good leadership, experience and direction/on field coaching, can play inside midfield, outside midfield, lock-down forward and small forward and we need to remember that Richo wants to "extend careers, not end them".

if seb ross is only a couple of weeks away, and Sinclair was upgraded to replace him, I would give Sinclair games until ross comes back, getting as many games into him as possible. if the saints could choose who they send back surely saad would be first to go , but don't think saints have the choice of who they send back. does anyone know ???. monty should replace snidner, for roo not sure.

We had one rookie upgrade spot already open, and then Siposs and Markworth were put on the long-term injury list. No one needs to be sent back to the rookie list for Seb Ross or Farren Ray.

I thought we didn't because we maxed out the senior list

Disagree that Schneider should be dropped this week. This is a winnable game, the Dogs are going to be tired after the Sydney match and young teams often back up with a poor week following a big victory. Reality is Schneider is still best 22, and he actually played really well last week apart from the obvious.

For me:

Out: Savage (give him a rest), Hickey (stiff, but we are to tall with him and Rooy in the side)
In: Montagna, Riewoldt

It's a real curly one about who comes out for Riewoldt because the Doggies are so quick and Hickey did very well.

Also, we were up for Essendon and out on our feet at the end. It may be close because both teams are on a let down week.
