Isnt it?

If five years of being awful and going backwards isnt material, what is?

If you **** up so much you finish last you're typically 5 years away from finals and 10 years from a flag if everything goes well.

We spent 3 years ****ing up just to reach last, so we're going to be bad for quite a while

And as much as someone like Roo or Reid might want it, we ain't at the end of the rebuild this year.

People underestimate how much that is in football terms.

You reckon entire careers come and go before you're expected to improve?

But keep the same recruiter?

I mean, legit, that was some awful weak sh*t.

Players streaming loose just kick it out on the full, set shots 30m out miss and people still pretend we did great.
Agree on the 1st half with players kicking out on the full after a market and horrible disposal by hand and foot and both teams missed very easy set shots all day. If we didn't showed up and played as dominate as we did in the 3rd and having a chance to win the game in the 4th, we would be as "upbeat" the list build is heading in the right direction I guess.

Anyone feel like photoshopping Ogilvie's head onto this statue of Jimmy Carter?

Rachele is a superstar after one game, he's elite and I'm so happy he plays for us.

Rowe was excellent clean all day unfortunately couldn't nail that last shot but he was awesome.

Keays is Hella frustrating he gets the ball soooo much if only he could kick better.

Sholl was great when he came on and proved he should have been in the team to begin with.

When Sloane goes who will be Captain? I saw no leaders out there? We lack leg seed on the midfield and leadership.

Rob may be an athletic beast but he can't kick or handball, complete liability with ball in hand, Strachan needs to be given more of a go.

Berg is done, don't want to see him anywhere near the side ever again, he's piss weak, no intensity or desire to actually get the ball he only competes because he has to. Gollant has to come in he has xfactor all over him.

Soligo went unsighted seriously who's selecting the team when Sholl come on as sub and is the 4rh highest possession getter. Cook should have also been in the side and poor Wayne needed a few games in the two's to get back into it.
ROb is a fitness beast not athletic beast . An athletic beast I would call someone with better than average speed for his height, good jump , agility , evasiveness and quick turning circle , none of which ROB has .

Fremantle were missing three key players, including a multiple Brownlow medal winner.
If they kick straight we lose by 6 or 7 goals.

That's not improvement.
Is that serious?

We had Walker, Seedsman and Laird out and Milera and Dawson not having played a single game.

You'd have to think our outs were more damaging to us. Fyfe is a champion but has rarely impacted the last few years.

Good: See a crowd again full of voice. Third-quarter...did the coaches kick them hard enough up their clackers that they remembered how to play football? Rachelle...we found one there. The smother in the third to stop a goal was a real team lifter.

Bad: First half. How on earth do you dish that pile of steaming you know what after a preseason? It was like they had done no kicking drills at all. No accountability, Freo running around with no-one pm them.

Our tall forwards in Thilthorpe, Fog and Berg, have to work smarter, leading to the same spot, or just saying kick it on my head. Berg especially looked gassed, Fog just frustrates the bejeebers out of me and Filthy was just that...has to be better, Milera, Rowe and him missing those easy goals...but if Freo had kicked straight it would have been a 7-8 goal win.
Cannot dish that rubbish up again.

Interesting to ponder...
Still don't know about our midfield. Rob was better in the second half. Looked very slow, Keys is such a hard worker, but his disposal...bleah!
Backline goes to sleep, not switched on, kick-ins were better in the second half,
Forwards costly lapses in not manning up after a point allowing Freo to slingshot up the ground. Wish someone would stay past centre in our forward line.

A hard loss to take, but in reality, Freo should have won that easily. Collingwood will smash us next week and every other team as well if we ever dish up a first-half like that again this season.

Absolutely.
Their best mid, possible the best in the game, their best forward, their best ruck out.
Way more than what we were missing.

At home.
In the end if they kick straight in the first half we lose by an embarrassing amount.
