Howdy Catters, looking forward to visiting the ground now that it's completed!

We seem pretty evenly matched so hoping that it's a good close game.

Footy's back! :D
Don’t put a dampener on our season before it’s even started please.

We could be half decent this year if things go right.

Re my mail: Well the postman fell off his bike.
Shaun is definitely in.

Some doubt on Kolo (fitness) , but unsure there.

I always thought shaun would be in its just a matter of if he is the sub or not (i prefer starting 22 but he is an ideal impact sub).

will be interesting to see if we bring in another kpd if no kolo or just go in shorter (i would do the latter).

No one was sure up until last night, family/friends are hugely excited. He's a great kid, wonderful person and very humble, has made quite an impact on the senior players. Hoping he can get a good run to capitalise on all the hard work he's put in.

Yeah i dont know him personally but he seems like a lovely guy.

Player wise he seems the type we need and lack especially with his ball use so once he finds his feet i think he will stay in.

Wow! I'm surprised after not getting much time in the practice matches but he well and truly deserves a crack!

We're going with the mosquito fleet up forward with presumably Dempsey and the 3 regular smalls. It looked great in the last quarter against Essendon so fingers crossed it works in the main game just a well.

Said after the practice matches that there was probably a reason he was brought on late in both matches - that he would likely be the sub. It makes a lot of sense, especially for a guy with a mature body and a ton of talent, but probably not having developed an AFL tank as of yet.

Will be nice to actually have a sub that really suits the role for us. Will make a huge difference tactically late in games if he's as good as he was during the Pre-season.

The confidence about Mannagh debuting is making me happy.

Of course I do wonder if he is in, who is missing out.

Is it an injured Bowes/Kolo.

Is one of Touhy/MOC not making the cut.

Is Dempsey not in (surely not).

Is there a surprise we don’t know about.

I always thought we recruited Mannagh to play him but those 2x 1.5 quarter games gave me cause for concern… although he looked the goods.

We read a lot into preseason games and I'm not sure if it usually actually gives us much.

I don't really remember SDK and Holmes being bookmarked for their important roles in their breakout seasons, from the PS. Didn't Close also come from nowhere?

Bowes seemed destined to be the man from 2023 preseason, but was somewhat peripheral.

Maybe I'm just being forgetful.

So barring injury Hawkins, Cameron, O Henry, Miers, Close and Stengle will play.

Surely Dempsey also.

Now Mannagh is being strongly rumoured and the club is publishing an article that starts:

"Geelong spearhead Jeremy Cameron has forecasted a ‘dangerous’ looking forward line this weekend, with a 203cm youngster emerging as an extra weapon alongside Cameron, and Cats Legend Tom Hawkins."

That was after Chris Scott talked about giving young key position players their chance on afl360.

After 12 years has Chris Scott thrown off the shackles? Are we just selecting all forwards?

I'd like to see Neale. I think he can play something approximating what Rohan does for us in the air and crashing packs. It's not really Cameron or Hawkins go
