I would have thought playing senior players over kids is the opposite of tanking personally

Well there’s kids available, but two of them are talls (we’re already loaded with talls) and very green, and the sole mid who’s not in the side is struggling to run out WAFL games.

(I’m assuming Hough will be sub)

Shuey’s had 35 disposals three times in 200+ games. But if he can’t do it on Sunday he should GTFO.
This is straight up offensive. He has been one who has put in constantly. He has dragged us across the line single handed at times (as has Yeo). His commitment can not be questioned. If more had his attitude we’d have had way more success.

He can’t do much about his body. I’m guessing if he prepares like he plays he’s doing 110% to get back on the park.

As to whether he should retire at year’s end that’s a fair question. In the meantime a bit of respect please.

Rebuilding, the West Coast way.

Plays the kids?
No, oldies play!

There’s nine players in that side who are 23 and under.

Which other kids should have played?
Williams and Bazzo are talls and we’ve gone in overly tall as it is. Plus Bazzo has played three WAFL games for the year and Williams hasn’t played in two weeks and is coming off Covid.

Trew’s played two WAFL games for the year and had little impact in either of them.

Only one you can make a case for is Hough and he’s only played one game in three weeks himself.

That’s literally it. We can’t magically create more youngsters to parachute into the side.

There is no reality where in the position our list is in, Jamie Cripps (who's leg was falling off yesterday) is a better option than Brady Hough.

He’s an experienced forward and we’re short on forward options.

Do you want to play Hough out of position? Or abandon the Jones-in-defence experiment which seems to be working well? Or try to shoehorn someone else into that spot?

Honestly, I thought people would be arguing for Hough over Rotham or Nelson, but complaining about Cripps being in ahead of Hough makes no sense.

10 Players that have a combined 146 games experience - that's less than Mcgovern. It's a very green team. The problems is the lack of talent in the inexperienced crew and that the next group (50-100 games) are Kelly (above average), Witherden (average) and Waterman and Nelson (below average)

Cripps playing... he wasn't even in the squad.... Dixon and Edwards in...... why not Hough replacing one of those 2.

Surely Hough is the sub.

Did hough not play forward in the state team? Was kind of disappointed we went the hbf route (not surprised but), thought he could be that fritsch type of player- good mark, good size, good skills..

If Cripps just had a leg infection / cellulitis and good to go now he’ll be fine by sunday

Ppl need to chill. He’s not got a hammie or covid or whatever. He’ll be good to go

Was happy to finally be rid of him in the team, but he's back.

I'm looking at the GWS team, and they look a little short down back. No Davis, no Haynes, no Keeffe. I think we can stretch them with our height.
