Sorry, but for mine, don't think Brock should get another crack at it. The others certainly need a chance and in Jeffys case another chance. Bring in Jeffy for WA game, family etc. if that doesn't get a fire in the belly then I don't know what will.
I agree, Brock has had his time. The club needs to move forward with younger blood. Garlett is frustrating but given his natural talent and age I'd give him another go. Have they allocated a mentor to him?

The morning after the night before...
Such a great feeling waking up on a Saturday morning after we have had a good win the night before.
It is indeed a great feeling! An even better feeling will be when we achieve 4 qtr consistency and win more often than we lose. Next round against Dockers will likely give us an indication if last night was only an aberration or actually part of our progress moving forward.

Tuohy has been ******* rubbish all year. He has deserved to be dropped for the last 10+ games. I honestly have no idea how he is still in the side. Jamo-rowe-white-walker-yarran-simpson is a much better back six. You could argue that we need one less rebounding defender (e.g pick two of yarran/simpson/walker) but all of those players are more than capable of playing up forward as well.

Tuohy sucks, he can't play a lock down defensive role and he makes poor decisions coming out of defensive. When he does push forward he always takes the selfish option (kicking from outside 50) even though his form suggests this isn't the right decision. Walker is a gun and gives us a lot of run out of defense, what we need is somebody who can play a lockdown role on a small forward. I think buckley might be able to do this, but his situational awareness isn't up to statch at the moment.

Good win by the boys. Glad to see our forward take some nice marks and work well together. Very pleased with Rowe's performance as well. Have to admit I was wrong about him and looks like he'll be a very good defender when the midfielders give him a decent chance at defending!

Tuohy hasn't had a fantastic year but he is copping more than he deserves. He's been serviceable -- a couple of noticeably bad games (mainly early on), a couple of good games .. He's been fairly solid the last couple of months ... Sounds like you're running with crowd here ... There are others that clearly deserve more attention but escape due to I don't know what ... Draft position?? Country of birth?? Style??

Your spotlight is on the wrong man.

I tell you something I enjoy ... Knowing that when Tuohy has the ball, it's likely to be a lovely kick that ends up in the hands of a teammate ... As opposed to ending up in the hands of an opponent that is going to send it sailing back over his head.

Re. Fremantle game.

Seems that some will get opportunity they may not have got but for injury.
Everitt and Menzel will be missing with knee injuries and Robinson will likely get suspended.

Wood and Graham will most certainly stay and;

Garlett/Johnson for Menzel?
Holman/Buckley for Robinson?
Carrazzo/McLean for Everitt?

Johnson, Buckley, Holman for mine. Might mean the side is a little young but **** it.

It definitely did, if you cant see that you are crazy. Imagine beating essendon in 05 and getting Gumby instead of Gibbs, or beating melbourne and not having the pick to trade for Judd.

Yes things have not worked out in our rebuild, but tanking was not to blame.

In poker terms

We have a sh1t hand, time to fold....if we keep banking on it, it's on going to cost us in the long run.

Far more to turning around our fortunes than being a couple of spots lower in the draft order. Would sit in the top 10 but nowhere nearly as important as instilling baseline effort and alike into the team. The last 4 or 5 premiership teams are not stacked with top 2 draft picks. Geelong have had 1 top 10 pick in the last 10 years. Hawthorn only 5 with 2 still on their list.
Good drafting is extremely important, more so than if your draft pick is a couple of spots one way or the other.

The most undeserving spanker to reach 400 in the history of the game. He's a front runner, and a diver. Has survived the 400 by avoiding contact.

Sure he's dirty - agreed. But, he's a pretty decent player and would be a phenomenal effort to reach a 400 game milestone - one that should be celebrated in my opinion.

Great stuff from the boys so I hate to be a Debbie Downer but again for me Daisy didn't do enough to justify him staying in the seniors for the rest of the year. Not saying he's a bust by any stretch but I reckon play him in the VFL for (mainly) the rest of the season to really get him going again, which is what they should've done from the start.

I'm a big Daisy fan, but he has seemed a bit off the last couple of weeks. I do wonder if he's tiring late in the season. Guess they'll think about what's best for him in terms of preparation for 2015 and make a decision based on that.

I'm sure its been said somewhere in the thread but the performance of our KPP's last night was the most impressive thing. All the mids played well but it was the big guys who won us the game.

Henderson and Waite dominated up forward (and down back when needed), Rowe did a brilliant job on Petrie, White and Jamo also did what they had to do (and loved both of them getting involved with a bit of biff when required!).

With all the buzz around Casboult by the media recently even though he had a quiet game our talls won the battle clearly, great to see as most would agree its been our weakness in recent seasons.

I've said it before on here and I'll say it again. Carlton are an exciting team to watch when they're on. I love watching attractive footy get rewarded and thoroughly enjoyed watching you pick apart a negative North Melbourne team last night. They had every chance and just didn't take it on.

Good to hear Menzel is fine too, great win for the Blues!

Tex deserves another run up forward, à la 2011.

Agreed. Walker was never a defender. I cant understand why all coaches have played him in defence.

Right from his junior days, he is clearly a naturally inclined offensive player with his speed, endurance, goal kicking and his love for a speccy...i feel playing in defence has robbed him of a lot of his natural strengths. Too often he is not in the right position defensively.

With our apparent lack of midfield depth, as well as the rise of guys like Buckley and Graham, is it not plausible for Walker to play midfield?

Love where you are all coming from, but if you truly think this way the AFL is not fot you...come and watch Whitefriars V Melbourne High in the Ammos tomorrow if you want to watch pure footy.

Take your heart out of it (which is how the AFL is now set up).

We have no winning culture, and have absolutely no chance of winning a flag until GC and GWS's run of impending success. Anyone over 23 is virtually useless. We needed to lose this game to give us a chance at Petracca. We need to make shrewd moves and look to the distant future (6 years+).

This Rebuild has failed, time to start again.

Signing Gibbs was a terrible mistake (I dont care that his been our best player this year, a pick after our first would have been more valuable), we need to seriously look at where our next flag is coming from and take the steps backwards to go forwards.

Winning tonight has done nothing to help us win 17.....

We have our best win of the season and you come up with this.

Let everyone else enjoy the win, me included!

Amazing news regarding Menzel so encouraging to see him survive such a tough and awkward clash. This bodes well for his future playing career he's such rare an exciting talent, great selection Mr Rogers.
Hope Everett news is positive too has contributed very well in his first season with us.
Ciao
