Today I checked the Draw to see when we are playing and organising match day

I'm so pathetic.

Whether we finish 17th or 18th will come down to the Perth Derby on Aug 12.

WC win that and we will be 18th - WC lose that we will end up 17th.

WC will comfortably beat us in a couple of weeks time - bookies already have them 1.70 favourites - so we will be equal on points after that match.

Our % will take a hammering over the next 6 weeks but WC's % is so low now given their recent performances it will get down to wins and of the remaining games it's the Derby that gives WC the best chance of a win (outside of our game).

I won't be at all surprised if there's an element of spite in this one.

In a way it might be a blessing in disguise that we don't fall bellow West Coast to get the #1 pick because if we get the #1 pick we are kinda obligated to get Reid, and yes he will be a superstar, but we've gone above and beyond drafting the midfield over the last few years while neglecting to address the back line and forward line. We need the cream of the crop but we need to recruit KPs in both posts. Our midfield still has many problems, and we need to address the ruck stocks too, but it is time to rebuild both ends of the ground.

I don't think Reid is that far ahead of the pack anymore.
