Sadly as much as we like to see the VFL team run around before the big boys it probably shouldn't happen. A bit of early rain and that's what we get.

One of the only reasons we won was the ruck in my opinion. Allowed us to control the contest and Cripps to accumulate 42.

And frees up Jack to be the smartest player on the ground and impact, more often would be good, with being smashed by the monsters.

I like the 2 rucks, our boys do enough around the ground to impact and the sub rule gives us a safety net to move one on if it’s not working. King is more spritely when the load is shared.

I am at a major loss how the AFL can hold Tassie to ransom with a licence conditional on building a billion dollar stadium in uncertain economic times while their Western Sydney darlings are able to serve up that abomination.

AFL ploy for taxpayer $$$ funding.

Newman and Cripps were outstanding. Outside of that pretty dreadful stuff

I’m sure others have said this already, but I thought Cerra and Motlop were also excellent.
A few too many didn’t fire a shot. The VFL team doesn’t have many knocking down the door but surely Fisher is on very thin ice. I’m really hopeful he isn’t a lock in the best 22 as he goes missing far too often to be guaranteed a game.

Double edged sword. Nights like tonight where he plays the hero role, normally leads to trying to do too much and not relying on the team. Not the sort of leadership that's going to win us a flag.

Clear BOG imo. Absolutely shut out Greene who was on fire in rounds 1 and 2. 24 touches, didn't put a foot wrong and stepped up in the last 5 minutes with a couple of noticeable efforts.

Cripps amd Docherty got a heap of the ball but used it poorly and contribited to the general lack of composure around the ground. Newman was the one exception all day imo
