TDK needs to be fast tracked to play on rucks with a big leap, we need to develop someone other than Doc that can set us up coming out cause Simmo is not up to it anymore and Doc being down killed our whole game.

Doc got 20 touches at nearly 90%. Geary’s tag wasn’t the reason we lost, it was an attitude of wanting to cruise through a game bruise and effort free - against an opponent who wanted the W.

Umpires took the steam out of us when it counted. I hate to be one of those people.. but that’s just factually what happened.
Saints were good and credit to them.

Too slow to react from the box, we knew all week Steele would go to Cripps and Geary to Docherty and never made adjustments until we were 6 goals behind.

Needed to either react earlier or be proactive and take both Saints players out of their comfort zone right from the start.

A few lucky wins to get our hopes up and then back to the basket case that we truely are. How a club doesnt improve over 10-15 years with all those high draft picks is mind boggling. This club and all its players should be embarressed about taking all our hard earnt membership money year after year. We are so far off competing for a flag or even finals it isnt funny.

I couldnt enjoy that game at all. The umpires along with some really bad play by our guys. It was easily the worst game ive watched ever... Ive never seen umpiring so one sided. Alot of decisions were 50 50 but tonight it was 100 percent saints all the time.

I absolutely detest carrying on and blaming umpires, but I must admit when I read this post it had felt like I wrote it. I feel a bit embarrassed about it, but at one stage I actually looked through the AFL wesbite to see if there was anything I could lodge a complaint to get an answer. Have to agree with this post.

A few positives for us tonight from some inviduals, but many queries. I'm not too doom and gloom, I think last year or years gone by we would have dropped our bundle and got belted. That's improvement... I guess.

Martin, Jones, Plough, Doch , Cripps, Newnes, and a few others hold your heads up. Needed a few others to step up when Cripps was getting scragged, can’t believe he only got one free kick. Doch found the ball when moved onto wing. Good work Philps, got it a bit more and seems happy to take the game on and love his multiple efforts.

Should have lost by 10 goals the way we were playing in the first half, happy to see us play it til the end. Could have almost snatched it if we kicked straight, but wouldn’t really have deserved it. Just too many down on the night.
Like to see Kennedy in next week to help Cripps out.

NEWNES???? Are you serious? He murdered out momentum early in the game when we had a change at a comeback and was directly responsible for the goal that sealed it for the saints in the last. He is and was terrible. Please explain how he can hold his head up? Also though Cripps was poor too.

Still can't figure out why we recruited McGovern. Was never a need and is beyond disappointing.

Murphy and Simpson need to shit or get off the pot. Senior players making stupid disposal errors and giving away 50s isn't acceptable.

Newnes is nowhere near it.

SPS needs to be played elsewhere.

I am liking Setterfield in the midfield and Gibbons was ok at times. Far from our worst.

Felt bad for Weitering. Jones was a mess tonight but hasn't had a game like that in a long time.

I liked Philp in patches. He has something.

Curnow tried but got no lubed by the umpires.

Pittonet lost the battle but wasn't from lack of effort.

Casboult and McKay weren't a factor. McKay is never paid a free.

All in all we couldn't do much worse and lost by a few kicks. I'll take it.
