Yes, impressive wonder why he has has been knocked back so many times though is he not a good speaker? man manager when being interviewed? I have no doubt he would tactically sound, but you need be a good manager of people as senior coach these days.I’m going to be honest and say that Adem Yze has a pretty good coaching career as an assistant. All from his Wikipedia article, but:
- He was Hawthorn’s specialist goalkicking and development coach from January 2012 to November 2014. Hawthorn were elite kicks during this time and he’s credited as one of the reasons for that.
- From November 2014, he was Hawthorn’s backline coach. Hawthorn then conceded the least amount of points in the following season (2015). They went on to be top 3 in least points conceded in 2018 and 2019 as well. However, they were only ordinary defensively in 2016, 2017, and 2020.
- He joined Melbourne 2021 as a midfield coach. Melbourne went from having an ineffective and dysfunctional midfield to being one of the best and most organised midfield teams in the competition.
Not only does he have forward line, backline, and midfield experience as a coach - he’s also had success in each of those assistant coaching roles.
I’m not against others, but Yze’s assistant coaching career is quite decorated. Maybe he’d be a good fit for us. Also, maybe he can tell us how we can finally beat Melbourne.
Yeah, a coach can be a good tactician all they want, but if they don’t know how to manage or talk to players then they’re not a good fit. Haven’t heard much about Yze on that front, so I’m not sureYes, impressive wonder why he has has been knocked back so many times though is he not a good speaker man manager when being interviewed? Leppitsch, Rutten, Teague, Pyke, Buckley, Knights, Alan Richardson, Bolton & Mark Williams can all get in the bin.
I don't think Buckley wants to coach again the only reason he coached imo was his love for the Pies. he loves the media & seems a natural in that space always a great speaker.I don’t get why people want Leppitsch and not Buckley ? Buckley got scumwood 45 secs away from a flag and Leppitsch did nothing in fact horrendous record
What about ....

You can put a line through FIGJAM and Hinkley. Even if they wanted the job we wouldn’t touch them.No way we're getting Hinkley. I'll farkin spew
Marcelo Bielsa ball for me.Carlo Ancelotti would be my pick
Worked with Scott's sister at Castlemaine around 2006 when I was around 20. She is more scary than Scott let me tell you..
Ask Sarri, Conte, and Tuchel who were sacked after trophy success within months if not weeks the meaning of failure. Buckley never won anything in 10 years, why on earth would he be considered as coach material now?I don't think Buckley wants to coach again the only reason he coached imo was his love for the Pies. he loves the media & seems a natural in that space always a great speaker.
-ve is he comes from a strong Clarkson background , which may well see him too similar to Dimma.I’m going to be honest and say that Adem Yze has a pretty good coaching career as an assistant. All from his Wikipedia article, but:

I think Hinkley. Port treat him woefully. Keep dangling his job but reality is he is an excellent coach of a small club. Surely the prospect of stability, a president that does not shoot their mouth off, the resources and profile of Richmond would be irresistible. Otherwise maybe Grigg. Typically don’t like the idea of a “favourite son” returning but all reports are he is a smart, motivated guy.
Jump on Bigfooty to see the general consensus on the new coach.... Jesus Christ this thread is a cluster*.
Some of these suggestions are deadset ludicrous.
No for meMathew Knights maybe .....didn't get a fair go at the filth with Lloyd and Hird back stabbing him.....he's been around other clubs ....sort of out of left field I know
Prolly end up doing an ACL from lack of experience...Little geek might even try to throw the leg over the missus for the first time in 10 years tonight.
