Dunn and Scharenberg are two of our three best KPDs. They’re our equivalent of your Rance and Grimes. Imagine losing those two and the impact to your backline structure - that’s what’s happened with them two going down.

Re Elliott, just because he hasn’t played all year, he wouldn’t make Collingwood a better side? I know people have short memories on here, but you don’t remember him coming back from no pre-season last year and kicking 34 from 17 games in a side that finished 13th? Pretty handy addition IMO.

Doesn't work that way.
You lose your top two KPD means you are playing 3 and 4 assuming you have four on the list, so your first choice structural players are out.

They might not be as good as someone else's top 2 but it's still their two best KPD out.

Richmond were clearly the better team. Did everything they had to in order to beat the team in front of them. I don't think it's grasping at straws to suggest a fitter Collingwood side either goes much closer to, or even DEFEATS Richmond in a finals match.

That's the point. He is a class footballer-no doubt top ten and we cannot get him on the ground. He is on our list and he is injured. He was going to play in the Sydney clash this week had he not broken down again. Why the hell doesn't he count? That's ridiculous. Who are the VFL players? Aish played the first five before injury struck. Goldsack is a lock for best 22 when fit and had a stellar year last year. Reid will come straight back in when fit. Dunn played every game before doing his knee. Shaz, DeGoey, Treloar and Wells all best 22 when fit and ready to play. What are you talking about? The only reason Wells was playing VFL was to gain match fitness for the seniors.

Rance is 194cm. Grimes is 193cm. I'm sure that 1-2 centimetres will make the difference.

I actually have confidence in my players. It's a shame that you don't. Garth played very well in his first game, and I'm confident that he would continue to if given more games.

Dunn, Reid and Goldsack all play or have played key position in defense. Who have you got on your list to replace Rance , Astbury and another two talls?

I know which post is hilarious, and it isnt mine. Houli, Graham and Buttler fringe players? Trelore and DeGooey are great player and two of your most important, I will add Howe as a very important player as well , but the others are either injury prone, almost has beens, or not remotly close to your best 22

In all fairness add Dunne to that, has been very good but hes also 31 and will likely struggle to play again unfortunately. But couldnt agree more otherwise. Anyone that thinks Wells, Aish, Fasolo, Reid Goldy and probably a few others they keep mentioning are anything more than fringe best 22 players are either living in fantasy land or are just overdoing the injury angle to make themselves feel better if the season falls in a heap. Even Rocket eade on sunday C7 footy show scoffed at someone saying Wells was in their best team, he said not anymore, last time he was in he looked 4-5 kgs overweight, i think hes too old. (He is).


Good luck for the rest of the H&A season pies, regardless of what you think of my post, Im actually a genuine fan of the way youre going about it this season and think youve found something. But this indulgence in injury excuses is overboard, let it go.
