I'd play Weiters on Kennedy and Plowman on Darling and have Jones cannon into anyone that goes for a mark.

Get Fish in, he can wriggle through their web.

A couple of forward handballs through their zone then long bombs to Levi

This is probably more appropriate for a best 22 thread if we have one, but does anyone else think our backline looks better as it is currently, with two KPD, a third tall who also plays on smalls, and three small/med defenders?
Simmo, SPS and Newman are working beautifully together. Not sure how Marchy fits in.
Our transition from kick ins has also looked much better with this mix. SPS really adds a touch of class we were lacking down there.
It definitely has, more flexibility and run. imo it has made our defensive rebounding so much more effective which has also helped our overall end to end ball movement, moving it on a lot quicker...

Blues want a scalp

Hello bald eagle

That's good. Clever. :)

I've just been surprised for the intensity this group has been able to bring to game-day for the past few weeks.
Expected a flat patch and even though they've come about through periods in a game, they haven't been there for the whole of the game.

This one's possible as much as the last one was possible. Same result will be just fine.

Weitering on Darling and Jones on Kennedy I think.

That was the Dees game

There were flat patches, yet when we would have normally died a painful death, we fought it out to our last breath and could have easily won.

There's something in that and that's become evident in recent weeks, that a never say die attitude prevails. This is a good attitude.

unpopular opinion but i think harry needs a spell in the twos, looks way way off it
Yes unpopular. Injured and carrying the forward target load. He will learn nothing in the 2s. He will have his work cut out for him with that WC backline this week though. Think he needs to slow down and get back to his routine when kicking for goal. He will be better for this tough time.

Either/or of Jones or Weiters to JK & Darling.
Plowman to Allen/Waterman and then to find someone to mind Ryan (Thomas), Rioli (SPS), Petruccelle (Simpson + Newman chopping out) with J.Cameron maybe floating about too, though he has had a couple of quiet games in a row now & could be an omission.

At the top of 3AW's Sportsday show this evening, Gerard Healy proclaimed Carlton v West Coast to be the match of the round

A lot of intrigue in this game and the footy industry would explode if Carlton could beat the 2nd placed Eagles and go 6-2 under Teague.

Lions vs Dogs should also be a very entertaining match.
