He had 11 effective possessions to 15 & 14. You may have noticed that a lot of the time there were no targets to kick to so they just had to kick it forward into space. At least they get the ball & can win it contested. What were Russell's possessions- 20m sideways uncontested kicks and a miss from directly in front?

And Hoops and Scotland are our most experienced midfielders.....roundabouts and swings that argument.

Russell's efficiency was 92%.

Houlihan's bouncing mongrel into space when he ran off half back with no pressure was truly memorable and the weakest kick I've ever seen.

How many contested marks did they take compared to Russell?

Or when Russell had to mark a mongrel against King or Gardiner and got pole axed?

They have no excuses to get 15 and 14 possessions if they're our seniors midfielders.

I'd trade both if we get a good offer and draft a few players with a heart.

And that includes Stevens if he starts hitting some form.

Time to do a Hawthorn and get picks for a 28 year old whilst they still have some currency.

Ryder will only play on Fev if he's killing us. Mal will start on him, and Fletch will get second crack.

If Fev moved up to CHF then Ryder will take him. But if Fev is playing at CHF you guys will be struggling.

Wouldn't have thought Mal would be quick enough to cope with Fev on the lead. We all know what happened last year when Fev finally started to get the delivery he required - out in front.

Keep nit picking. Yeah Russell's a star. We need more like him. Keep him and trade everyone else and we'll really go places. :D

Who said Russell was a star BlueWorld?

We've won three spoons with Houlihan running around like a princess, so I know who deserves to get the arse first and get traded when they still play like a girl after bulking up.

Scotland is just as bad.

I couldn't imagine either of them getting a game in our 1995 side.

quick question, going to the game sat, going eith people using general admission tickets, if i have a silver membership can i use that as a general admission ticket or can i only sit in the members area?

Sure, keep whingeing. You do nothing but focus on negatives of players you don't like and tell us how great Russell is so who cares what you think. :p

Not too many in our current team would. Judd would get in, and that would about it.

Houlihan and Scotty would have both played ahead of Whitehead.

No.

Whitehead was a good tagger/back pocket who added legspeed to a slow side and could keep his man quiet.

I'm yet to see Houlihan and Scotland do that consistently.

I'd squeeze Waite(as a forward), Walker and Murphy into that side for Clape, Whitehead and one other player. If Troy Bond could play most of the year in 1995, Murphy would get a game and play like a Joel Selwood in that team.

Negatives that are there for the whole world to see and one of the reasons we're so poor.

You just don't like people bagging your favourite player and can't see the forest for the trees.

I said the same thing about Whitnall a couple of years ago and was criticised down when I said we should have traded him. And Blues fan defended Lance by saying we needed him on our list to play whilst our young KPP developed.

Priceless.

Didn't exactly see Whitehead set the AFL on fire with consistency. Sure you're not romaticising the past a little?

Pretty sure I heard (may have been Swanny on the radio) say there could be three debutants this week. With Kruezer pretty much confirmed as a starter, I could only imagine Armfield and Browne getting a game to hopefully play on some of the Bomber small forwards. Interesting to see who will get the chop for them. I would think Edwards might struggle to keep his spot and not sure who else would go.

If Lovett Murray misses that is a HUGE boost for you guys. Has been playing very well up forward in the pre-season and first 2 rounds. Will mean 1 of Lee, Johns, Pears or Neagle will probably play.

is that likely?
