Can't see us not including Kreuzer for this game.
If Kreuzer does come back in (and he should) Out with Lobbe and Casboult. We need run and mobility.
After that though? Who knows?

Lang only played a half in defence but looked very promising.
Cuningham? Straight back in? Wouldn't discount it, at all.

JackSilvagni? Why not?

Kennedy after playing nowhere? So hard and such a mess for the MC this week.

Having Kennedy over as one of the emergencies is a fascinating decision. A guy who clearly needs game time to get back into the firsts? I'm hoping Russell has an intense training plan over the coming days, because he'll need it if he's coming back in.

I fell like a mistreated hostage. I’m beginning to understand the Stockholm syndrome. For now I really don’t know where to turn. This is shameful and embarrassing and I just want to own the fact that despite my cycle or dejection and rationalisation we a truly horrendous at the moment. It can only get better? Surely? I really feel for Bolton’s sanity.

So back to partial sanity for the moment. Dow has issues, needs to drop out as does O’Brien, bring back Kennedy, JSOS and Kreuzer.
AND no point picking 4 talks if you kick to guy, as a MARKING, option that could walk under a coffee table wearing a top hat. WHY!!!! Bye bye Casboult.

Go blues. Carlton til I die!

Russell this, Russell that.
Nothing against Russell, but the weight of expectation we apportion to any and every new entity at the club, is somewhat overbearing.
Much more scrutiny simply has to come upon the coaches........no matter how much we 'love' them and how much they 'love' their players.

We'll get onto a roll sooner or later but we have missed opportunities that have been available to us and that comes at a cost. It just does.
Don't want to hear that this player will be Kelly and this was the game we had to lose, nor any more singling out of individuals that had a good game in a team sport. It's a ****ing sum of the parts game and our parts, for whatever reason, aren't fitting together just yet.

Please. No more fluff this week.

Harsh on Gibbons. I thought he was good in a pretty unforgiving role. He's just not a goal kicker. He never has been.

Put him on a wing and let him play his natural game.

Nup, he has been really poor. His disposal has been shocking. Kicked 3 points, hasn’t kicked a goal in 4 games, playing mostly forward. Went at 50% today, managed 1 tackle. Also gave away 4 free kicks (admittedly 1 was an absolute shocker which should have been paid to him, 15 meters out).

But it’s not just that, he’s playing selfish and/or stupid. Sure, we shouldn’t have been kicking it to him, but why was he in those positions? He should have been dragging his man out, or aiming to hit the bottom of the packs.

I know he’s only played 4 games, but he’s shown nothing. Need to go back to the 2s to at least get some touch and sharpen up his skills.

I don’t know how the players keep going. I’m just a supporter and I think I’m done. We have never recovered from the salary cap saga. The AFL wanted to break us and they well and truely did.

Just highlighting his role in ensuring match day emergencies are adequately stimulated physically. Plus he's also super charming.

I agree with everything you have written. There is no sugarcoating this. We are getting close but not getting the job done and it needs to turn around fast.

Sorry, as that wasn't aimed at you but more so this prevailing notion in recent times that every acquisition will become the panacea to all our woes.
In simple terms: Sick of all the bumping up of all our 'investments' to be superior to anyone else's....We're last FFS. :)

EDIT:
Just on JSivagni; Has clearly grown and put on size over the last year.
Even though it was only the NB's today, he presented well and had .....magic word.....Presence. I like presence.

You could drop any combination of the following:

Gibbons, Setterfield, Plowman, Lobbe, Casboult, C Curnow, Dow, McGovern (Isn't fit and played one quarter), Newman and LOB.

Honestly outside of Jones, Weiters, Cripps and Walsh the rest of our list was serviceable at best.

Would look at bringing in JSOS, Kerr, Kennedy and Kruzer. Would even consider flipping Goddard.

Kennedy has not played, can’t come in. Stocker isn’t ready yet.
Kreuzer is obvious.
Really hope Cunners is right to go.
Probably Levi out for structural reasons

In: Kreuzer, Jack, Cuningham/Polson

Out: Lobbe, Levi, Gibbons

He played reserves a week ago, didn't he? I don't agree with having him as a match-day emergency, but I'm hoping they have or are going to put him through a testing 2 week block in the interim for the Bulldogs. I don't want to imagine the midfield without him against Liberatore, Macrae, Bontempelli and Dunkley.

Yikes.

To be an undersized AFL footballer you need elite attributes. Not quick and a poor kick. Struggle to see what the attraction was. Can find it if he gets moved up the ball but won't damage teams at this level.

I wouldn’t write him off yet, but he should not be in the team at the moment. Needs to bring a hell of a lot more than he is at the moment

Indeed, other teams have just as much talented youth. We've got some pretty exceptional ones that have taken the next step, but it will amount to nothing if we are unable to retain key components or win some games to attract experienced players.

Great to hear about Jack. Presence is hugely important, particularly the self-assurance that comes with it; Walsh has it and Weitering has found it again.
