they did 3 quick ones at the end to save face

1 free was after we'd played on and scored a goal
another 2 frees were after we took a mark and were only to try even up the count

4 legit frees in a whole game

Great win and some real fight shown by the boys considering they came at us so hard.
Umpiring I continue to say it can’t get any worse , but they keep coming up ways to reinvent themselves as an incompetent fraternity and now it’s bordering on dishonesty.
Great to see Dusty almost near his best. Bolton super game and his last quarter tipped him to be the best man on the ground for me as he just stood up and delivered with class. Taranto phenomenal performance as well.
I’m still concerned carrying all of Graham, Pickett , KMac , Young and Cotchin as we’re still a slow side . I would love to inject another small forward, but replacing a midfielder and wingman is going to be harder bc we just don’t have anyone knocking the door down. I still would love Cotchin to start as sub after his 300th game.
Great to see Mini coach his first win without Dimma. only joking folks.

Vlastuin was huge tonight. 26 possessions, 12 marks (most would’ve been intercepts) and gave Frederick an absolute bath.

Too right. His marking in the conditions staved off numerous attacks.

We got 4 in-field frees in an entire game. The other 3 free were for out on the full.

Freo had 7 of their goals in a row coming from umpire assistance.

We've copped reamings from the umps for years now but I think tonight might have been the worst of them all.

Massive that we won that.

We are playing the game with variety - going fast and long sometimes, and slow and precise.

By far the best balance we have had all year. Freo tried to flood our forward line too. Hopefully we can continue with it.

Incredibly one sided umpiring tonight. Thought most we had against us were fair, but they weren't paying the same things the other way which was frustrating.

Thought we were lucky to get 7 frees ridiculous when u think about it we doubled our count in the last qtr doesn’t look good for next week against the saints Mr O’Gorman will do his best to limit it to under 4
