Great games by Cotch and Jack. The way loads of people on BF have wanted to retire them and Shedda off like it provides some sort of magical spring board into flag glory in coming years has been shitting me to tears.

I’d prefer playing our old champs and competing/winning and being a finals chance and flag smoky over playing ‘the kids’ and limping into 12th.

RCD, Ross, Martyn, Stack and Dow etc … would be embarrassed to be picked ahead of Cotch. Footy enjoyment comes from watching the players you love … I wish everyone would just stop wishing them away because of a misguided belief it brightens the future.

We are very likely to never get another era like this in our lifetime … let’s enjoy soaking up every second of watching Cotch dominate Boak and a Brownlow medallist in Wines, and Jack taking yet another mark running with the flight.

It’s bloody glorious to watch !!
