Looks like a South American to me, so as a good soccer fan need to direct her to Adelaide United ground at Cooper Stadium.

Evans even as sub is baffling. I'd have Williams, Burgoyne, and then a paddock, and then I'd have Charleson.... Evans would be strapping their ankles.
Underrating Evans there. Williams is deffs stiff, but Burgoyne was a bit wasteful in pre-season. Charleson not even in the discussion.

Surprised Evans got picked before Burgoyne. Good reward for Mead, but we're very light on outside players given Drew and Mead on the bench.

Evans deserved his crack last year, and should've replaced DBJ/McEntee last year, but so far this preseason he's not continued that form. It's amazing how we do that and often pick players at a time when their form is contrary to that selection.

This makes me think Evans is replacing SPP, with both McEntee and DBJ still in their plans to be in the team together even when SPP is back.

So no changes from last year, even though Ollie back to the middle should mean there's an old school 'resting' mid spot in the forwardline shared between many.

So that'd make Mead the sub.

I can see what they're aiming for in picking Evans, but I can't see past the errors he makes and it reflects poorly on our depth. I'm not serious about Charleson but it's just to reinforce that we could be utilising the sub role (fingers crossed he's only the sub) to give opportunities to players who may actually break into the 23. If Evans is the benchmark for those players to leapfrog him then let's hope someone puts their hand up soon.

Tell ya what the SANFL team if it takes the field as per the listed 'outs' would be strong.

KPP's: Finlayson, Georgiades, Visentini, Sweet, Clurey, McKenzie + Scully, Marshall & Walsh

Then you mix in Williams, Burgoyne, Narkle, Sinn, Szust & Moore.

+ juniors in TommyA, Charleson, Lorenz.

On paper it looks supremely strong. Probably only unbalanced by the AFL side picking so many inside mids in the 23.

Finlayson has been selected but it is still a strong selection of talls.
