Taranto v Jelly v Boak

I've crossed Taranto off the list

Jelly and Boak is going to do my head in all week

Jelly:
-9th best 3-rd-avg with 124 ✅
-Has averaged 114+ for the last 4 years ✅
-Only 26 years old ✅
-Has missed 1/4 to 1/2 of the season for the last 4 years :crossmark:
-Only averaging 102 :crossmark:
-Could be stuck playing as a half forward :crossmark:

Boak:
-14th best average with 113 ✅
-Only missed 1 game or played them all for the last 9 seasons ✅
-High floor of about 80-85 points ✅
-Will be 33 years old soon :crossmark:
-Missed a game with a minor quad injury a couple of weeks ago (aka old man injuries) :crossmark:

Jelly at 511k with T.Greene fit was a bargain. I got him last week at that price.

Jelly at 540k with Greene out for a month scares the shit out of me as an owner. I would go Boak for reliability in case Jelly goes back to a half forward role now.

Probably against popular opinion but with no good rookies on the immediate horizon I’ll be bringing in RCD. Sure I’ve missed his first 60k but sometimes you have to get a real good look at someone before committing. Was on the fence last week but convinced now after a very solid performance Sat night. Not the first time I’ve brought in someone on the bubble +1.

Impact of Greene out on Jelly needs some thinking about.

Depending on how long Bowes is out for will probably do Bowes to Ridley and Powell to Heeney, might have to leave Warner in until his bye.

Doing these trades too. Trades getting tight and unsure on cash gen to get the big dogs (550-600k must haves) so I know I need to take a value pick eventually and hope it works out. Then I can ensure I get the right uber premos in the mids and backs.

Avoided May as I wasn't convinced he would come close to top 6 with the crazy amount of high scoring defenders. So far that was the right call.

But forward line on a 340k Heeney who goes 90+ avg if fit is worth the risk. Just gotta hope he stays fit and gets to 400k+. Worse come to worse he's a sideways down the line. Far more content taking a value option in the forward line than mids or backs. And I don't want Bowes in my final team on what I've seen. His role and play has sucked.

I think it's fine

If he does emulate that, he'll have more money to make after his bye, but if he's $285k at his bye, a downgrade to a $124k rookie will give you $160k, and that will help you to turn a round 13 rookie like Scott or Jones into a round 12 premo

I missed him as well as I upgraded. I'll be skipping him because I have money for a double upgrade, but I needed a rookie, I'd have no issue picking him up

Don't really want glass blokes like Peeney or Hogan, so thoughts appreciated on this: Powell and Warner to Hind and Helmet, leaving 17 trades and Kosi, Jordan and Bergs on the field. Means that Helmet is a "roughy " after turfing him when he got 19 and then suspended.

I noticed Brad Crouch not getting much love in the player trades. Going like a 110 proposition his last three weeks and not being rewarded by CD either. Should have got higher scores. Has been starting to kill it since Ryders return and the team coming good. At 450k i believe he represents very good value. Going as well as Steele.

I reckon there’s a chance with Greene out that jelly gets moved forward again. If you don’t already have him, can you afford Steele?

Greene out ruins best laid plans. Worst part of SC is when you can almost taste a complete team and then injuries push you back a week.

Powell to Heeney via Scott
Greene to McDonald

4 rookies on field

I love Steele, but 1. I can't afford him and 2. I want a round 12 bye mid premo
