“Go Dees.... Beautiful catch number 5”

Pssshh, that's a rookie cheeseboard. Bread looks stale, cheese from Coles, DIY avo and antipasto in a tub. Poor form, wouldn't be surprised if his MCC membership was revoked. When I go to the football, I bring a bottle of bubbly, a lot of brie, duck liver pate on poppy seed and squid ink biscuits, and if I'm feeling extra confident, I might bring some quince jelly.

Warner and Powell look to have run their race. Warner/Powell > Boak/Jones(Murphy if Jones not named)

Next week Bowes> Cerra or possibly if a good rookie(Jones) is on the bubble Bowes/ some downgrade> Petracca/(Jones). Atm only have 5 premo and 2 rookies with round 14 bye.

Think I'll look at bringing Whitfield in soon even as early as next week if he puts up a good score this week. Has so many things going for him:

1. A lot of teams have already completed their defence and won't be able to fit him in so he could be a great POD.
2. Started slow so should drop below 500k this week which is a great price for what he is capable of scoring.
3. Has the good bye
4. Started taking some kick outs for GWS
5. Said he's still building up match fitness so the scores he's producing now should be his floor (80) and improve drastically as he continues building it up - could see him average 105-110+ once he builds his match fitness.
6. Probably has one of the biggest ceilings in his line

BE of 155 so will be a perfect price in 2 weeks but if he puts up a big score this week I'll be very tempted to go a week early on him

I'm bringing him in in round 13 after his bye. I hope he scores 80s for the next 2 weeks, so he stays under the radar and keeps dropping in price

TOG% average in previous years - 85 to 90%
TOG% average in 2021 - 78%

He's having his preseason now lol, the 130s will start very soon, I just hope it's not for a couple of weeks

Not sure what to do this week.
Initially looking at Markov to Ridley but Markov now BE 30 after successive tons.
Can do Scott to Heeney leaving just Jordan on field. Will need to get JDG to F7 and Heppell to a premo. Any ideas greatly appreciated.

You could upgrde DeGoey to Warner

At peak match fitness he's probably one of if not the best endurance runner in the game, literally perfect for the new rules and the HB role so we still don't actually know how much the new rules suit him and his scoring once he is fully fit. He could string some very very big games together imo

Does Cerra need CBA's to score well? He averaged 15 per game in rounds 1 to 4. Only had 2 on the weekend. Mundy and Fyfe might be getting more now permanently after doing well when Cerra was out.

Cerra played wing on the weekend.
Look at hes scores post bye last year that was hes role post bye.

It was hes first game back from inj .
Unsure if stays on a wing or move back to inside mid.

Powell had a poor score on the weekend but had been good until then. Will keep getting games and could be good coverage on the bench.

We need to start looking at holding half decent rookies that will probably play the remainder of the season for their clubs. It's a tough call having the money sitting on the bench but if the rook looks like a lock in his team it helps his case to hold him doesn't it?

Really struggling what to do with powell .
375K plus 82 k .
With one trade .

Unless Jones is named..
Unsure on the chances of that.

Short on Daniel helmet .
Houston inj worries .
Zac B? means i miss cerra because i stil need a defender.
Post team.

heck me I was set on Jelly but now I'm thinking about Boak again.

The old man vs Mr soft tissue injury?

Boak imo.
With the year we have had with injuries its just a matter of time for jelly.
SC gods got Punchable last week.

Yeah Boak seems safer, which is crazy when you consider that he's about to be 33 years old and Jelly is still only 26 years old. Worst case I reckon Boak gets a week rest down the track, which is fine to cover, but Jelly could cop a serious injury, be out for a long time and force more trades.

Also Boak has a 110 average and has played well all year.
Jelly has been back in form like 3 weeks.

Doesn’t matter what way you go this year, even if you try go the tried and proven or the safe option it’s likely they’ll go down with injury or cop a suspension.
All you have to do is look at some of the highest scorers and movers in terms of price this year to realise this year is just completely whack.

If you’d started with
Impey, JZ, TMac, Hind, Tex and Daniher in your forwards mixed with a bit of Jiath Cumming and Allir and some Hickey in the ruck with a guy nobody has heard of in Jarryd Lyons in your mids and then nailed the frustratingly awful rookie roulette then you’d probably be sitting in the #1 spot this year. That’s how truly ****ed this year is.

As much as I want to bring Jelly in by doing a Roughy maneuver I think I am going to grab Zorko the magnigicent as my forward line could really do with some bolstering.

Kosi > Daniel

Powell > Zorko

Next week -

Scott > O'Connor

Warner > Hind\Heeney

Team after doing this weeks trades.

Jelly hasn't really been that injury prone for the last year or so. Besides mummy kneeing him in the face last year of course.
