Melb never said most likely 4. They said 2-4 weeks (not 2-4 games) and will depend on swelling. Swelling doesn’t normally take 28 days to subside, hence holding him. He was touch and go for the game he returned in (I thought he would miss TBH) but ultimately took him 2 weeks to recover.
Yep, have always taken that approach. If going for overall it really makes no difference which weeks the points are scored in. The only caveat on that is you don’t want to have Bye weeks where you have 7 playing players on one line so can’t field one.
In fairness when Horse said 3-6 no journalist asked if he meant 3-6 hours rather than weeks.
i agree to an extent but you do want some sort of balance. dont have to field 18 every bye but dont really wanna be going under 16 for a bye.

Lions have got a pretty good run home tbh in that sense - only two games away from home against a top side and that's Richmond in R18 + the Eagles in R23. Other fixtures include;

Other than that their draw is pretty good - I would have the Lions as favourites in basically every other game I haven't mentioned. I don't think Zorko is going to get any cheaper especially with the 140 in his cycle now which may leave him 550k+ when we're trying to bring him in after his bye. I'm personally tempted to change trades and grab him instead of Jelly and then get Boak as a R12 bye mid next week (BE in the 120s this round). Means I'll miss Heeney but the bloke is made of glass anyway

Zorko isn't a must have imo. He is quite capable of squirting out a bad score, especially against the better sides.
Zorkos big risk is the tag
Richmond don't usually tag, but they might at present. Reckon Viney back means spuddy Harmes might tag again, Zorko a good candidate.
Can't agree with this one mate. The bloke hasn't averaged less than 95 since his second year which includes the stinkers we all know he's prone to. In another year maybe but we're all bringing in the likes of Hall and Heeney who surely carry the same if not greater risk than Zorko does. We aren't lucky this year where we have 7 different inside mids who conveniently are forward eligible, will average 105+ and help us fill out our forward lines. I reckon he is this year and I don't think 511k this week is overpaying. 550k after his bye? That probably is

I don't reckon Greenwood is the sort of player that could tag Zorko effectively anyway. Good at tagging slower/big bodied mids like Cripps and Steele but Zorko would probably get away from him. Richmond don't usually tag and I think Melbourne will back their midfield head to head the week after but will be interesting to watch
Agree re; Miller. Zorko more of a first receiver type IMO - he's not the one at the bottom of the pack, he has Lyons and Neale (when fit) for that. Even with Neale out it's McCluggage doing more of the heavy lifting
