I've got the following players who I'm considering getting rid of, I've got $340,500 in the bank.

Petterd (back)

Ziebell (mid)

Kerr (mid)

White (ruck)

Kerr is really starting to frustrate me and has lost me 100 grand and isn't getting good scores. Trade to Ablett perhaps? Or downgrade a rookie and get the funds to upgrade Ziebell to Ablett?

That leaves Petterd and white, white's doing average at best so far and it's the same story with petterd, not good scores.

Any advice?

Just thought of another idea, trade Kerr to Jimmy Bartel while he's cheap and next week upgrade Ziebell to Ablett and downgrade a cash cow

Obviously like most people I'm thinking about Muston, but I don't think my midfield is a worry at the moment. Still though, you guys are the experts so any advice would be appreciated

Yeah Tuck to Masten would be obvious. You have used 11 trades but you're still playing 4 rookies.

Might be time to choose the rookies that will play out the year because you wont be able to get rid of them anymore.

I would upgrade Dangerfield first.

Yeah, I know but I'd like to see Ellis play a game first (which is hopefully this week) and he should go down a little bit in price aswell. Depends if Cheney/Broughton get a game, if they don't (and Ellis does) I will do as you suggested above.

Fev is playing injured so he wont be picking up massive scores, so you'd either upgrade now or wait until he's fully recovered.

Get on Franklin early though, his stocks are rising.

What I'm thinking of doing this week is:

Nahas > O'Keefe and Rich > Sewell

then next week:

Beams > Muston and Otten > Ablett

Though this would only leave me with roughly $684,500 for ablett though so not quite enough! So if Higgins is out then I'll trade him instead of Nahas, and if he isn't I'll bring in Cyril instead of ROK!

This will leave me with 8 trades left and my team will look like this...

BACKS: Goddard, Drummond, Fisher, Cornes, Gilbee, Grimes, Cheney (Broughton, Petrenko)

MIDFIELD: Ablett, Sewell, Davis, Judd, Selwood, Gibbs (Muston, Anthony)

RUCKS: Cox, McIntosh (Spencer, Jacobs)

FORWARDS: Riewoldt, Pavlich, Deledio, Franklin, Sidebottom and either Higgins, Cyril or ROK, Nahas! (Brown, Walker)


Then team will be finished until Hodge comes back in and finds some form! Then Cheney will turn into Hodge hopefully and then right before finals i'll upgrade one more forward! Leaving me with 4 or 5 trades for injuries!

Just interested in peoples opinions on those trades and if you have any advice that could help me! Any feedback is good feedback, all helpful!

I've got $901,300 for a back and a forward to replace Waite & Higgins.

Backs I like are either Newman ($485k) or Gilbert ($461k). Problem is then the best forwards I could afford would be Porps ($414k) or Cyril ($433k). Ideally, I'd like to wait a week to do the forwards (and play M Brown), so i could downgrade & grab a genuine premium, but I NEED a win this week, and will already be carrying 2 x zeros vs my opponent who has none. Haven't seen enough of Porps to make a judgment, his early scores were woeful but has knocked up 122 & 110 the past fortnight.

Some options are: (*average in brackets)

1) Gilbert (101) /Newman (98) & Porps (85)
2) Gilbert/Newman & Cyril (88)
3) M Johnson (89) & Buddy (91)
4) Adcock (83) & Buddy/ROK

Not real happy with any of those. Really want Newman or Gilbert as back, but this only leaves me $416k or $439k for my forward, obviously not enough for Buddy at $469k.

Amount of game's isn't the issue for Muston, it's the injuries.

He will be a very good player if he doesn't go down again.

The only cheap alternative is L. Anthony, and he's got injury problems of his own!
