I saw it differently

ladhams wasn’t in good positions to take those marks at all. Made it all the more extraordinary that he clunked him. Was pure reach, judgment and hands. Committed way too late on several occasions. To their detriment Richmond defenders went into the game with zero respect for ladhams and he made them pay.
he was
Had a couple of howlers early that I was very disappointed in though.

Oh sh*t. I didn’t catch that he struck him. Though it was an accidental clash in the contest

that has to be looked at. Clearly struck him in the balls as he’s running away. You’ve got to make a statement that you can’t do that.

two weeks given the AFL has just dickated this was a line in the sand not to be crossed

Crows fans just banging on about how many Richmond had out - ******* lol

Crows fans reduced to supporting Richmond... after their club’s 2017 GF debacle and subsequent toxic response.

Says it all really.

How good was Amon tonight btw, 19 touches for nearly 500m gained. M crouch doesn't get 200m gained for his 25+ every game.
That play where he shrugged Lynch and then hit a beautiful 40m pass to Butters was amazing. Dunstall focused on Lynch’s inability to stick the tackle but Amon was superb.

MacRae just had 40 for the dogs and didn't get to what Amon had in MG tonight :D

Yep - that looked like a real Port Adelaide side!
Tiges too mesmorised by our Woodcock and Dixon. They really needed to pull their fingers out of their arse with a scoreless last quarter. If only cotch was playing to group the boys together ;)

Could even say it was a testi(ng) game for them, we could of had a bonner and cox playing aswell......
What a cracker, resting Ladhams in attack was a no brainer, on the downside Suckliff was a no show as expected.

Cannot understand the Suckliff selection

That was ****ing epic. The game of the season.

Richmond came to town in form and we had to beat a top 4 side to prove ourselves to everyone. And we did it in style.

This was a game of supercharged drama and excitement. I was shouted hoarse by half time. And had to find a second voice for the second half. I certainly wasn't alone as the crowd of 10,000 sounded 50,000.

Locked in a massive arm wrestle to 3 quarter time the shower at the break seemed to invigorate us and we ripped the game from their grasp and hurled it over the western stand.

Our pressure and tackling was immense. I came away from that game thinking this is the Port Adelaide I grew up watching. The DNA of Fos and Jack sides is in this team. At last tall forwards who - yes I'm going to say it - terrorise the opposition. We never allowed them to sag off and take uncontested defensive marks. A midfield mix of cleverness and bullishness and a team defence that can be relied on when called to do their individual duty.

Ollie and Trav were magnificent. Put on a midfield master class.

Butters continues to grow his legend. He's like a cut throat razor in the midfield. Sharp, incisive and devastating.

Ladhams was crazy good. He's played a handful of games and was a constant threat as a forward and ruck. I had a debate a few weeks back with a poster trying to convince them that Pete is more than only a ruck. I had seen good signs from him as a resting forward in the sanfl. His performance today even blew me away. His aerial work to go with his ground skills was superb.

SPP just rampages all over the ground. He flies the flag for team defence everywhere and is another scoring threat as wel as contested ball winning beast. If he doesn't get it himself he creates a pressure environment that gets the ball to a teammate.

Dixon's goal kicking had me tearing my hair but he is the Incredible Hulk in the forward line. He has every defender second guessing, he crashes contests, he does the amazing at ground level. It's taken a while but he has become super fit and really imposed his massive physical presence on the AFL.

Lycett is another competitive monster, Georgiades is a continual aerial threat, Gray was sharp, Clurey was terrific one on one and overhead, Amon did some very clever things in tight confines to drive the ball deep forward, Woodcock pulled some clever, composed moves to be a danger around the ball. Really you could say something good about everyone. Some didn't play the best or cleanest footy but still put in the total team defence, bodies on the line and smothering the opposition.

And a special nod to Rockliff for generating one of the brain fades of the ages to really spark the last quarter domination.

A great win, one to be savoured by players and fans.

I have a headache. But a good one. ;)

Not a protected area. Fine.

Reading the Richmond thread, **** i hope we do get a rematch and we go 2014 Elimination Final on their ass. The arrogance to just dismiss the clinic we taught them because they had a few players out is astounding. You really think 5 players will make up 30 inside 50s and 15 centre clearances?

Before this game they was all bragging about their depth and how missing players don't count coz it's all about the system

We’d be naive to think that Edwards, Prestia and Cotchin won’t make a difference to centre clearances next time we play them. We need to keep improving and make sure that we don’t give them any second chances like we did today. We also desperately need Connor Rozee to get fit and back to his mesmerising best.
