Kornes is most likely going to be tagging Jimmy Bartel, and Dom Cassisi will be tagging Ablett. Ablett is a no-brainer; anyone that has him probably shouldn't even be considering anyone else.

Out of Kornes and Hodge.

Kornes is reliable. Hodge at AAMI against adelaide is tempting and more unique.
yeah it is a unique pick...or one of the hawks midfielders like mitchell... either way, it will be a great game to watch, atleast ill know that birchall wont get a pathetic no0b coach tag...

lol if people think this is a hard week to pick a captain, have a look at next weeks fixtures

firstly there is no hard week if you have ablett and then i looked at next week and i see collingwood v bulldogs and gee vs west coast and
port v rich to name some. plenty of options there

thats my point genius... its harder when there are more options... Because if ur captain does crap then u will be angry at yourself because of so many other options, where as if you had a week where say Ablett was the only obvious choice, and he did bad, you would say oh well,

would u go corey again if have him...last week he was my captain and only scored in the 80's and he played in the backline for most of the game.....he didnt even look like touching the ball in the backline....will he play in the backline often?....should i still trust him to crack 100??

Scarlett will be out for 2-3 weeks. And Corey would have went to the backline last week to help cover that loss. For that very reason I wouldn't touch Corey till Scarlett comes back.

What about Bartel? Said himself that he is going to play a more defensive role because of Scarlett being out.

Those with Salopek, do not hesitate putting him captain this week... its a unique pick, with Shaun Burgoyne back, he will be back to his complete best, and against Geelong, why not?

Personally I would have thought Bartel too big for the K Cornes tag, maybe go with C Cornes if he is playing, also I think Scott Thompson is in the form of his life and maybe a good choice, personally though i would go Ablett or Bartel, the latter with less scoring power but more relaible.

I'm now tossing up between Swan and Thompson. Thompson has a massive average against the Hawks(according to FanFooty), and is in amazing form right now. Swan on the other hand has been amazing and still managed to score 93 whilst sick.

I suppose neither will score under 100 at any rate, I think I might change to Thompson now though in the hope that he will continue his current form and his previous form against the Hawks.

i've gone:
Swan (c)
Cross (vc)
i am predicting a points bonanza with the Adelaide v Hawthorn match. but sadly, i wouldn't think of Grant Birchall and Jason Porplyzia as captaincy material for me.

for SuperCoach:
Goodes (c)
O'Keefe (vc)
that Sydney vs StKilda match has Champion Data written all over it !!

Tough decision.

Think I've been talked out of Cox and after seeing his prior record against Essendon I don't feel confident at all.

Kornes - will he sacrifice his game to stop Bartel/Corey?
Bartel - will he break the Kornes/Cassissi tag?
Cornes - after a terrible performance, will Chad try and make a statement?
Brown - will Browny prove to be too much for Lake/Williams/Morris?
BJ - will he continue his great record against Brisbane or is he beginning to slow?
Cross - will he be outclassed by the Brisbane midfield or will it make him hungrier for the ball, leading to tackles?
Stevens (my smoky) - will he cop a tag like last week or will Collingwood let him run free?
SJ - do I go my new recruit. High risk, huge reward if it pays off?

So many options, so many questions to ask oneself. Really unsure which way to go at the moment.
