Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster on your wonderful thread.
I am tossing up whether to upgrade Langford this week or just take gardiner's score.
Potentially I would free up some money by using Lloyd > Obrien with shenton going fwd. freeing up about ~140k.
Leaving possible trades of
Langford to: Birch, Hurn Jaenschy
Polec to: SJ, Goddard, Parker
Ambrose to: T.Walker
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

4/5 upgrades to do & only 12 trades left, need to conserve $$ where you can, IMO.

Firstly - I'm still a novice at SC so take this with a grain of salt. I'd be questioning downgrading to O'Brien after one game, as I've been burnt on this previously. But with the limited options currently, I suppose the best option to me looks Lloyd > O'Brien ... Polec > Goddard and taking Gardiners score. Tough sitcho though!

14 Trades - 159,500.00
B: McVeigh, Bartel, Swallow, Enright, Hanley, Suckling ... Bews, Georgiou
M: Ablett, Pendles, Libba, SJ, Beams, Selwood, Langdon, Hartung ... Taylor, Acres
R: Mumford, Sandi ... Derickx, Currie
M: Danger, Martin, Roughhead, Franklin, Higgins, Fasolo ... Ambrose, Impey

Just wanting to gather some thoughts ... I'm looking at a down downgrade of Langdon, Georgiou > Shenton, Litherland ... Do you think its my best move that will give me enough cash ( 373k ) to double upgrade next week? Or do you see something better move I could pull?

Cheers all

What would people do with this? 11 trades and $66,900...
I'm thinking of not trading this week as rookies I have can still make cash and downgrade rookies don't look too great (need another game in them).

Projection of 2,452, definitely over projected  Opponents are Mark Robbo (2,332) and someone (2,056).

My wife sent me three texts:
"Ive made 2 trades"
"Hodge & jacobs out"
"Mumford & pederson in"

I simply replied:
"REVERSE"

:eek::drunk::oops:
lol Thoughts on Hodge Jiska ? I can sideways to either Hanley or Jaensch or hold and hope. Been mighty disappointing last two weeks. It's now or never for trading him out. BE of 156 this week. If I don't trade him now I've gotta stick with him for the rest of the year and hope he turns it around.

Your team looks pretty set. There's not many downgrade options to make cash. If you're a little crazy you could try Roughead -> Tex Walker. Langdon could make a little more cash, but if you need the cash for next week and can cover him then it may be worth trading out now.

Yeah you can save your trades IMO. We have really similar teams and I want to build up some cash for upgrades but there are not many options atm and my cash cows can moo for another week or two.

It would definitely be nice to finish off my midfield now if possible (I need to switch Wingard into the forward line). But I can probably hold off trading this week esp since I wouldn't have enough cash to buy one of the super prem mids. Ideally look at getting Jelwood, Fyfe, Jack or JPK.
I had a play around and could do S.Lloyd & Taylor -> Redden & Z.O'brien but leaves me with only a couple of grand and a far from ideal finished midfield.
Currently have 12 trades and $115k cash.

How many of Simpson, Swallow & Bartel are necessary players in defence? At this point I have don't have any of them but here are my options; I won't be able to get all 3 in any case.

#1 ) Langford > Hanley, Langdon > Jaensch (DEF: McVeigh, Malceski, Hibberd, Jaensch, Hanley, Docherty) 8 trades left.

#2) Derickx > Lobb, Langford > Bartel (DEF: Bartel, McVeigh, Malceski, Hibberd, Langdon, Docherty) 8 trades left.

Thoughts?

Hodge had heap off the ball last week just a showerhouse score.

Yeah, was a very unlike Hodge game last week as he butchered it bad. With Spanger back it might just free Hodgey up that little bit more. I don't have him, but if I did, I think I'd watch this week and see if he is played in a defensive role again, or switched back to more mid time.

Im tossing up what to do with Wingard.... Sideways trade to Buddy, Bruest, or dip into the bank for Parker. Or just sit tight and hope he turns good????? 14 Trades, $103,000 banked.

I'm not a fan of his, haven't been for a while. toxic has it bad for him, he's probably the best to ask.

Should I trade Langdon > Hibberd and Taylor > Buddy and finish my back and forward lines or just go Taylor > Hibberd?

About $240k and 13 trades left and team is.

Swallow, Simpson, Bartel, Burgoyne, Suckling, Langdon (Langford, Tippet)

Ablett, Pendles, Selwood, Beams, Watson, Goddard, Griffin, Tyson (Hallahan, Taylor)

Sandi, Lobbe (Holmes, King)

Danger, Martin, Parker, Zorko, Bruest, Shenton (Ambrose, Cameron)

Would really appreciate any advice or other trade ideas. Really struggling to make up my mind this week.

Mummy is latin for Injured

Carlisle as a playing "defender" is a 90 point SC option. with your team as it stands bews is not adequate back up.

Carlisle is cheap insurance and could go large

Under-rated suggestion. Essendon share the ball around in the backline, they play GWS this week, and Carlisle has a BE of 44. Worst possible case, he gains 10-15k and you dump him again next week. Best possible case he stays in the backline and dominates, and you get a very cheap d6 or even d7. Not sure I'm game to do it, but great suggestion.

To get Bartel I'd have to do a downgrade (probably Derickx > Lobb/Lowden/Smith). I think Jimmy will average 105 for the year though in which case he isn't value at $545

What do you think Hanley/Jaensch will average for the rest of the year? Getting them both effectively saves me 2 trades. Also if Langdon comes out and puts up a 50 he drops about 25k
Well I'd say they will both keep scoring around the same. (minus injury effected games Hanley averages 98 and Jaensch 100) yet I can see Jaensch dropping off as his not a proven premium and role may be affected when Henderson comes back, Hanley will keep going as he is if not improve. So Hanley

What about just Lewis > Buddy.

Yeah, I might just do one trade Langford > Hanley with the aim of turning Langdon into Bartel/Swallow in a few weeks.

If you have 2 or less upgrades required, and have more than 11 trades then trade him out.
Yep i have him with GRAND expectations but so far he has delivered me a trailer park full of trash.
Mind you he did have 27 possies or something last week but his D/E was horrid.

My hopes are high for Hodgey to rack up 95+sc points in tassie
