Kosi's been a different player these last couple of weeks. The hands aren't quite so concrete, the set shot is reliable...that goal in the Saints game seems to have turned him around, and potential is becoming performance.

3 contested marks (all in F50) = 3 goals. Glad he kept putting the work in and the club showed faith in him.
That’s twice in three weeks that it’s been Kosi who had put us in front with a straight kick (and then we haven’t been headed)

Thought he was good. I certainly do think Player Ratings do a better job at measuring impact than fantasy numbers, Newcombe's game not even breaking the 100 mark is baffling. Third highest rated player, behind Meek and Dunkley, is much more accurate.
Do you mean he didn’t break 100 super coach points? If so, I’d agree they aren’t as great as people think. Much of the methodology is questionable. It’s not out and out terrible but I’m sure that tanking points correlate better with winning games.

Eh. He was directly matched on Hipwood for a fair bit of the time Hipwood looked good. He wasn't our worst but he's got a way to go.
Hmmm, I don’t think that’s right.
His first goal was against Day/Sicily.
2nd goal was on a lead with a great hit up kick
Not sure on the third
4th goal Scrim was playing the kick in front and it went over his head and Hipwood out marked Sicily and Mitchell.

There are two fantasy leagues, the one in the AFL app is their own fantasy points system. Idk what he got on Supercoach.

Based on the fantasy league points you'd think Neale dominated, but he had one of the worse 30 disposal games you'd see. Player Ratings gave him a 7.9.

BANG

You're clearly excited over that win as I am but maybe, just maybe, a little early to call Blanck a jet. But yeah, a very good game by him.

Ah, what the hell. He's a jet.;)
Oh I was calling him a jet last season.

Now, he's a shinier, faster jet

Are you ignoring the other players in these contests?

His first goal was on Day, idk why you're putting Sicily in there as he had his own opponent.
Second was on Blanck.
Third was on his own with Scrimshaw sucked into the contest
4th was where Scrimshaw was his opponent and was floating away from the contest. Sicily had his own opponent in Gunston and had to try to cover Hipwood, Mitchell had his own opponent too.

I thought Scrimshaw was better than Frost would have been, but he still has a few lapses where he gets caught off his man too often.

A few of the maligned players this year had some great input into the Win today.

Kozi just played his role and did what we need him to do. Provide a target, provide a contest and take advantage of the opportunities when they present.

Scrimshaw was a great contributor with his team defence. We know he can kick it, but taking on more responsibility defensively was great to see. More please

While not maligned, McDonald had his best game for the club today. He was brilliant. Very good running both ways.

Meek played his role well in providing ruck relief but also using physicality at the contest. He even managed to bust a few packs and win the ground ball. More please Lloyd.

Weddle and Mitchell provide the right balance of run and defensive pressure. Locks moving forward.

Will Day has shades of Luke Hodge at the contest. His attack on the footy and the upright posture with shoulders pulled back.

Jai Newcombe gives off Lethal Leigh Matthews vibes. Strong and powerful with a low centre of gravity.

Cam Mackenzie does a mean impersonation of Sam Mitchell. Smart, unhurried, seems to slow time down as he makes his decisions, and wriggles, shimmies, twists and turns to evade tacklers.

And you could almost argue James Sicily carries something of The Kid with him. A Dermott Brereton-esque swagger that's not entirely unjustified.

Don't know about you, but I'm excited.

Exactly right. His performance today, or at least his statline, was that of Prime Dustin Martin. And I can see similarities in his role. As you say, he could very well be the best we have, and it's fair to say we have quite a few future stars on our hands.
Think I saw a Dusty-style fend off in there today as well.

The afl site is just a stats times points score. So a kick is worth 3, a handball 1 etc.

So Sammy like
