Maybe Port liked it less 😛
As opposed to liked it less, I thought it looked more like the rain stopped Port being able to cut us up quickly with speed and precise kicking in transition. Even prior to the rain things were relatively even between the teams, except that when they got it they could waltz through end to end.

Team selection, looks like it’s gonna be wet. Stewart comes back in but plays as a key forward and second ruck. Stringer to play permanently forward to help him ease his way back in. Perkins, Martin and Hobbs to switch between wing, midfield and forward. Wanganeen stays in due to his pressure, give him a go in a big game. Both Tom Hird and Garrett McDounagh to debut. Hird to play at half forward, Garrett the sub who can play on the wing and in defence if called upon.

Smith, Cutler, Phillips, Waterman and Ham need to stay in the VFL to help the midfield out and the development of the younger talls.

In- Redman, Stewart, Stringer, Guelfi, Hird, McDounagh
Out- McGrath, Phillips, Waterman, Kelly, Smith, Ham

B Laverde Reid Hind
HB Heppell Ridley Redman
C Merrett Shiel Perkins
HF Hobbs Stewart Martin
F Stringer Wright Wanganeen
FOLL: Draper Caldwell Parish
I/C: Durham, Jones, Guelfi, Hird
Sub: McDounagh
Emerg: Bryan, Brand, Cutler

We're not dropping Kelly. Especially in these conditions. And McDonagh couldn't even get a gig as sub ahead of Lord when the flu swept through the club.
