WWalker injured, Comben temporarily in fwds and Weightman unlikely to be given another game, so my fwds are a mess. Better for team balance to replace Sicily with a forward too. So ....

Sicily > Rookie (Greaves if he's picked otherwise Cottrell or maybe Gould. Sydney rookies worry me. It's been a revolving door there)
Weightman > The Big O

Parker not a bad option.

Not really alot of mids going 110 plus this year.

Quiet alot 98>105 ish. Range.

Walters another option once he drops abit ..
The thing is, for another 80k you can get Lyons who has a 5 round average of almost 130 and has hardly ever dropped below 110 all season. After Neale, Macrae and Oliver, the 3 standouts, and I suppose Fyfe who averages sky high too (130) but injury games have brought down his average (injured early third quarter for one and rested at full forward after half time for the other), Lyons is the best midfielder in Supercoach.

Parker has a 5 round average of 113, Lyons 129.4. Pretty significant difference imo.

If I was to predict the best 8 midfielders at the end of the year in terms of average (excluding injury outlier games) it'd be Neale, Macrae, Oliver, Fyfe, Lyons, Steele, Mitchell and Duncan.

I could get Zac Williams this week however and prepare to ideally get at least 2 of Gawn, Lyons and Oliver as my last 3 premos.

So there we are. Lyons this week despite his bye, or Zac Williams which gives me a warchest for next week to get Gawn/Oliver and I can get Lyons after Brisbane's bye for round 15. Thoughts?

Greaves coming in .... coach vanders

I wish. Clarko is more likely to play Hartley this week but we might see Greaves the week after hopefully. Kozi would be a chance too.

Clarko doesn't like playing too many youngsters at once especially against one of the top teams.

Really at a loss what to do this week

Have 25k in the bank

Unless Skywalker comes back I really need to make 2 trades in defence for Sicily and Moose.

But then I need to replace Yeo as well.

Any thoughts?

Sic and Yeo to the best bye-free premo defs you can afford (via Rivers).

I think I read Skywalker another week away.

Moose to Cottrell Sis to Lloyd.

Does that leave enough cash to get someone for Yeo next week..?

Zillions is a good option ...

Ryan at he's peak price .
He's not exactly Chips Lloyd ...

Zillions for me..or Saad...or Mills...

I dont need the stress of cheering on one of our players, along with the team. Saad is out. I dont mind Mills though. Wonder how Rampe will effect his role.

Same, means I can turn Simpson into a Danger type and finish by mids. Pretty gutted my plans for Rampe fell through.
That is definitely worth the offset in points. Might be a blessing.

I think Mills is a trap.

So you should prob lock him in.

Do the opposite :moustache: .

Someone asked if when JPK is back (for Parker). Apparently 2 weeks is possible bit likely 3.
Wont effect Parker's scoring though. Quick glance shows he had about 115 avge before JPK broke.
Every chance Horse will simply tell JPK to take the rest of the season off...1 loss away from no chance of finals, then its playschool time.

Tad surprised not even an inquiry re Thurlow.
Guy is playing for his life. Best 2 games that both his clubs have seen from him.

Blokes like Houston have done me no favours so far. Similar to a Blakely, almost tempting to use him as a cash grab to ride at D6.

I wont, thousands might though.

All clubs have tough decisions to make at end of yr re shortened lists.

This ranking has gone to your head hasnt it.
Looking down on us mere plebs rowing the barge whilst you ponce about with your new hoity toity w***er mates near the top :moustache:

I started the season assuming my best winning strategy was to do the exact opposite of anything you said.
I blame you for this shyt mob i accrued

I wonder if the Sicily injury opens up an opportunity for Greaves. Scored pretty well in the first preseason match in Sicily's absence. Not sure if he played Sicily's role, but is the same height so he may have. In the second preseason match Sicily was back and Greaves got only 12% TOG.
Reckon it will be Hartley.

But I would like to see Greaves get a chance before the year is out. Hopefully Finn too. Shame Harry Jones hurt his PCL on the weekend in the scratch match otherwise he would have replaced JOM and should have got an extended run at it

No JPK , no Hewitt Swans prob need him more in the mids IMO.

Bollox
No Heeney either.

Yepp.

But Horse

The Rampe out is huge for our mob. Moreso than any mid/fwd which just gives us a reason to blood a rook. There's a number of possibilites that could happen including Dawson to HBF and Mills into midfield. I think Horse believes Mills plays his best footy off HB.
Horse has his best reason so far to play either Maibaum or Gould. We'll see.

The biggest ramification could be for Gull. I'd be tempted to wait a game if i wanted to bring him in this week, and see what happens. Lloyd's game thrives when used 100% to set up play off HBF, and fed so much by Rampe. A more defensive Gull is a bad thing for scoring.
