You flipping beauty, what a win after a shaky start.

Walking tall this morning port fans.

12 and 2 heading into the bye. Should be looking at a top 2 finish from here. Top 4 at worst.

Chris Scott has such an ability to come across as a sook in every losing press conference. Minimal credit to the opposition, sooked about injuries, basically blamed Dangerfield getting injured for the loss.

Went on a few times about how much better they were in the first half (where they had less I50s and less scoring shots).

I don't think too many non Geelong fans will shed a tear if the Cats miss the 8. They've been up for so long - it's lovely to see them slide down the ladder.

lol they legit banned me from there for pointing out they’re a pack of morons.

Just in the past few days there’s been these claims

  • he will never be a top 10-15 player in a 22
  • he’s only a 3rd tall and they’re not worth much
  • he’s miles behind Trent rivers
  • I don’t think he will ever be a midfielder

******* vfl wankfest
That board is a cesspit. Its just full of tirekicking weirdos who become fixated on certain players and see all their performances through a warped lens of 'value for my club'.

It would be great to have a place where trade values and circumstances could be discussed with supporters of other clubs rather than everything becoming a Facebook Marketplace tier shit fight.

Anyone else who was at the game who watched the replay and came to the conclusion that first quarter, although still bad, wasn't half as appalling as it looked at the game?
We were all over them for the entire game in all aspects other than making dumb unforced errors in the first half.

Sensational win, the belief this team now has is remarkable, the pin point kicking in that 7 goal burst just cut the cats to pieces, and that midfield is 24 carat gold particularly when the ruckman can give them first look at the ball.

Re that ruckman, Lycett has gone from a struggling hack to now one of the most important players in the team, there is obviously still a long way to go, but if he can display this form in September we are definitely in with a chance to go all the way.

So how many of you campaigners have suddenly renewed your memberships? :$
Not this campaigner. If they admit that Carr is actually coaching the team I'd reconsider. Won't stop me going to a few games, and absolutely loving how the team is currently travelling though.

You wish Warren understood the club better? Are you mental, if it wasn't for him calling out the dud Hinkley and making him accountable in the media we'd still be where we've been for the last ten years.

Warren's a Champion of the club, Hinkley will NEVER be. Even if the unthinkable did happen and we win the flag, that's got Carr's name all over it and Hinkley gets credits only for giving high fives on the bench
I think he was taking the pxss.

I thought our defence was a weak point at the start of the season. Now it's a strength. These are the reasons I can think of:

  • Moving DBJ to the forward line
  • Dropping Jonas
  • Bringing Williams in
  • The stellar form of Bergman
  • Moving Dan to defense
  • Farrell's form
  • The recent form of Jones (such a pity he broke his jaw after his recent break-out game)

It's one of better defences going around

Bergman's game on Jeremy Cameron severely underrated

I think this team is better than our 2020 and 2021 teams. Superb mix of pace, toughness and skill. Really fun to watch at the moment!

Miles better.

I didn't particularly enjoy watching us those years as all the Hinkleyball traits were still there. I had zero faith.

This year.. it's coming back 😳

Happy to beat this mob by any margin at any time. That 3rd quarter was sublime.

Not sure how to gauge this game as you could see Geelong's interest wain when the pressure & heat was turned up. They are still satisfied with the premiership last year and resorted to not giving a fcuk at the end there. Those torps out of full & half back where laughable as they lost all care factor during the match.

Next match against Essendon at the MCG. Our last game this year at the G in the regular season which is an important hit out if we are going to impact the finals.

JHF will learn not to throw the ball back so quickly and give his teammates a chance to set up from the ball coming in.

Do what Hawkins does and hold on to it for 5 seconds, looking like he's about to throw it back but talking to the umpire instead.

Jase was keen to keep the play going and run back into defence, which says a bit about his competitiveness, however I'm sure they'll look at that in the review and remind him that's its better to make Geelong wait for it.
