Ever since the Giants game I've been saying we need to trial more of the squad.
Look at the form of Kreguer yesterday Richards debut Macrae Harrison etc
And we've gone 7 2 1 since the first 3 losses. Our depth is holding up.
Yet everyone here is convinced we need to rush back out of form veterans. Or risk injured players. We've done that and guess what they got injured again
Out of form veterans?

You know we're not winning because we have a long injury list?

We're winning because we're an extremely well coached side with players knowing their role & sticking to it.

Which of these so called out of form veterans would you not return to the side when fit?

Cox and Mitchell. I'd potentially be looking moving on Sidebottom form.dependent when all return.
Elliot is a walk up IF 100% fit but if he runs out of time to get up to speed HH is a capable replacement. Wasn't like Elliot was in earth shattering form anyway before injury

Cox I understand, I would be persisting with Krueger and Frampton being the support to Cameron.
Mitchell is a wait and see. I do think the current mix replacing Mitchell cover the ground better.

He had 7 kicks and 5 horrendous clangers. He was poor
He also equaled his career high of 5 tackles and his pressure was immense and provided some run off half back.

Did everything that was needed of him, his disposal efficiency was poor today however it has been fine ever since he came back against Carlton. Noble's was 100% way worse last week and no one was calling for him to be dropped.

Don't mess with something that's working fine. The run, pressure and energy that he provides us is essential

much like last years outing against north - this could be a mongrel of a game to watch

[edit] fwiw, thought markovs performance improved the longer the game went

[edit 2] stats probably tell a diff story but im getting increasingly nervous every time jaicos looks to offload the ball by foot

Out Bytel
In Reef
Sub Oleg

No need for big changes, Frampton doing his job up forward and getting to ball to ground and how good was Krueger :) Would be a very good prospect later in the year with Mihocek, McStay and Krueger up forward
I don't think Reef did enough in the VFL to warrant selection. I'm tempted to say no change. Bytel doesn't set the world on fire, but I don't think we have anyone in the twos who would.

Parker would be the main one, but he may be better off with a full game of VFL.

maybe Bruzzy needs a rest!
Oh but next game is Gold Coast!
I don’t think he does, unless there is more to Flys comments that warrant a break, there is a week off straight after and he’s just come off a longer than usual time between games this week.

I’m expecting North to come out with some confidence, I think we need to come out hard and take some confidence into the week off.

We do not need to rest players this week.

Stop it.

If we are to win this match, we need it to be a big percentage booster. No time to be complacent after beating a pitiful Demons side.

Roo's will probably offer more fight than the Dee's did.
Especially seeing as we have a bye the week after

So it seems to be a somewhat popular opinion here to rest a bunch of players this coming weekend in order for them to be fit, firing and fully prepared for …
… thé bye.

I only said to rest Daicos because he got hurt?

Because we have the bye the week after it makes sense to ensure he's 100% no?
