The smaller ground doesn’t allow our run and gun game to flourish. Though I think our record has been accentuated by meeting two possessed teams on bad nights. Last year we were undefeated there.

Port Adelaide has shown the importance of changing it up a bit.


Frankly I think they are a better set-up with Boak in the midfield, Wines, Ebert in, Power Pepper out with Ryder and arguably Rockliff and the value of Westhoff I guess is debatable.

I suppose if Boak, Wines, Ebert and co are operating in the middle with Howard, Burton and others in the backline their whole setup is a lot more effective with Rose up forward and Gray in the middle to.

Just highlights the importance of shifting a few pieces around to get the most productive combination and weed out those compromising the required teamwork thats desired!!

Its not like RFC has anything to lose against a few weaker teams in the fixture ahead without a fallback position to go to later

agree with all changes except one. Castagna stays and Menadue makes way. I think Garthwaite deserves a chance with a full compliment of a premiership defence surrounding him to help him out.

The obvious out is Soldo, then you have the following players who are on thin ice surely Rioli, Caddy, Broad/Garthwaite(i believe we'll move fwd with one of them). To a lesser extent add Baker, Balta and Ellis. Baker fully deserves his spot in the side atm, playing great football. Balta is perfect as a backup ruck but not sure of the dynamic of playing him, Reiwoldt, Lynch, Nank & Caddy. Maybe for team balance it becomes a question of Balta vs Caddy? Hopefully it can work with both of them and we have a selection headache elsewhere

Probably (from the team I've selected) Soldo, Menadue, Bolton and Ellis. Or maybe Graham. Or Rioli if he's form doesn't improve. I don't think Short is an automatic selection.

I like it, tony__montana , Cddy's spot in the line-up should be far from safe. Been a non-event of late.
