Wasn't worried after the Brisbane loss but absolutely at panic stations after tonight. Absolutely insepid performance given how we played last week and what was on the line this game. If we lose to Carlton next week it's season over.

Have our early season results flattered us? Looking at our wins agains top 8 sides, we got Freo and Richmond at a good time early on before they found their form. Our only other top 8 win was against Geelong in which we admittedly did play very well.

Watching the Geelong v Richmond game before this they both would have beaten us by 100+ tonight.

Season was over last week. Writing was on the wall - didn’t quite see it with my red, white and black tinted specs, but boy my vision is perfectly clear now.

So lucky carlton supporting son in law and my daughter are moving into their new place next week, Giant tv won’t be set up and he can’t watch the game. I’ll skulk around my house and ignore all calls and messages, I think we’ll cop an absolute hiding.

Ratts shoved the players under the bus. He’s lost them and there is nowhere else to go. At least there is only 2 more years left until we replace him.

That says more about the players then.

If they can't handle honest criticism what the hell are they doing in a National Competition.

It doesn't matter what changes we make for next week. There is something not right with this playing group and the coaching group. There is a major disconnect. Even when we were winning earlier in the year there was a bit of "by the seat of their pants" about the game style. They are a group that do not engender trust in those that support them. They cannot be trusted to bring a consistent level of effort, desire and skill week in and week out. The rest of the comp know that and play on it. Until they are able to do that they will have no respect from supporters or opponents.
I would rather pay to watch and support a team of young hungry players that get beaten every week but play with effort and pride, than pay to watch a bunch of overpaid, cynical mercenaries who play for the pay packet and who pick and choose, not only when to bring effort but whether they even want to play.
And no more free agents please. The only free agents who come to St Kilda are damaged goods.
