Nank's last chance to stay in my team this week
I'll take an 80+ score, I just want to see him ti run, take a few marks, make a few tackles, and not look like an elephant

If he fails he becomes Grundy, Mummy, Stef or Jacobs, to partner Gawn in the ruck with Ryder as support

Nank to Gawn will be very popular next week.

3 game membership worth it just for the SP Bobblehead

Starting to wonder if Gawn is actually worth it next week. His opposition on the run home is Sydney, Carlton, Adelaide, Port Adelaide, North Melbourne, GWS, St Kilda, Brisbane and Collingwood.

Will be up against arguably the better of the rucks in the comp after his BE drops this week against Sydney and will face Kruezer, Jacobs, Ryder, Goldstein, Mumford, Martin and Grundy on the run home.

Looking at last year, other than the Rd3 game against North where he scored 172, he really only bullied the teams who were short on top end rucks which dragged his average up to 118. Take out the games against Port (Trengrove), Gold Coast (Currie), Eagles (Lycett), Fremantle (Griffin), Richmond (cooked Maric) and Hawthorn (McEvoy/Ceglar), he only just ticked over an average of 100 - and this includes the 172 against Goldstein.

If he's only gonna have 100 against the best rucks in the comp, then I'm not sure I can justify the upgrade on Witts who is averaging 94 to Gawn for an extra 6 points. I would rather use the trade and cash to bring in Greene/Heeney and push Nank/Lynch to loophole at F6/7.

With 6 trades left, Stef/Witts in the ruck, Gawn might need to be passed on.

Probably worth it even for an opposition supporter with Doc in their SC team!

Or those that can't afford to bring him into their SC Team.

I have $320k in the bank
Using the power of DPP, Berry is becoming Gawn, then I should have ~$100k left, enough to potentially turn Nank into a ~$500k ruck

Trades Nank to Gawn
:p

Nank to Gawn is worth it, he can **** right off for all I care. My dilemma is Witts to Gawn.

The last 7 weeks Witts has gone 115, 97, 98, 96, 107, 72 and 99 so he's clearly found his feet and settled. The 72 was against Kruezer and with a 7 week average of 98 is not far off what I'd be expecting Gawn to knock out against his upcoming opponents.

Think for me, priority is to push one of Lynch/Nank to the bench loophole where possible. Guess it all boils down to Gawn + Nank vs Witts +Greene and right now, the later looks more appealing.

Second option IMO, but it will piss you off if Gawn goes large in the backend of the season. Bit of momentum with the Dees atm!

I was deciding on whether to keep Nank forward (sitting in rucks with Stef ATM) but I think I will just trade him to Gawn - this week if Nank is not named for whatever reason or next week once Gawn has dropped in price again. Leaves Greenwood as F6, but can always upgrade him if need be later on.

We're now 14 rounds in, the byes are over so I thought I would look at my hindsight team:
Hindsight Team.png
Just fits the salary cap and would have been ranked 1st by 177 points already come Rd3 but also boasts the top scorers for each line mixed with the better cash rookies and value for money picks in Murphy and Oliver. Probably could have squeezed Kelly and downed SPS down to free cash for Smith -> Newman but you catch my drift.

It's as close to the ideal team as I would have liked to have started with!

Nice work.
Why would you have a donut at D8 to start with, a donut Hibberd would of been a better prospect with DPP surely?

Smith/Hibberd would have worked there.

Effectively just wanted to name someone who would succumb to injury/dropped so Newman could be traded in for the ride 2 weeks later.

Look at money left. Hibberd was $123k. Couldn't afford him
