Mills in. Massive.

Heeney in. Fantastic.

McDonald. Huge in. Surprise.

Sheldrick. Stays in . Chance to cement his place further. Awesome.

Fox out. Bit s**t. However would be a decent sub though.

So one negative outweighs 4 solid positive? Tanking? Wtaf.

I'm not buying into the Hayward talk. Comparison Completely different players in different trajectories.
I would have to agree. Its harsh on Fox but great inclusions. Im suspecting that the coaching staff wants some these guys to have some game time before the Geelong game - build some of that ever important match day fitness, even if they are a little under done now. I reckon its a gamble but we know we need to get our best team back on the park asap, build some continuity and have one last tilt at getting into the finals.
If these guys were to play their first game against Geelong it would backfire, sending under done guys against a good team. But we probably feel we can afford to carry an underdone team against the Eagles. Big risk but I can understand the logic (if that's what they are thinking).

How so?

Hayward robbed us of the chance to have two extra marks inside 50 (thus two extra shots) by dropping simple marks.
I can remember him dropping one simple mark but not two.. but I may have missed one. I don't think his marking is the issue this year. He is not as involved as he should be and is clealry a poor set shot. He is down on form and confidence but unfortunately no one is knocking the door down in the VFL.

Surprise with fox but if I think about it I'm a bit less surprised. He hasn't defended as well as he is capable of and has really butchered it going forward at times.

Harsh though, I'm reflexively pretty protective of him because of how well he played against Cameron in the grand final.

Does his absolutely superb work for guldens goal in the last quarter count for anything?
I mean, a well-trapped ground ball and a handball off I wouldn't describe as "absolutely superb", but it counts. Unfortunately everything counts, good and bad, and it takes a special kind of player to play a whole game and do absolutely nothing good or productive. Hayward is no such player. Doesn't mean he should get a pass for the too-many occasions where he isn't good enough.

Your opinions are .. well.. very f**kn numerous
Take a break... please

We should always feel free to express opinions about our team and to argue the toss when we disagree.
