It will be a nice long weekend now, lean back watch the reserves tomorrow and then relax humbly and watch the rest of the round.

Watching the Fox footy panel absolutely THROTH about Coleman is so beautiful. Kiddy has always had something special even since the NEAFLTV days.

Lachie interviews so well also. Absolute class.

The good thing is that the players we brought in all helped the team. And we didn't miss anyone omitted or who went off during the game.

I'm not sure what the plan is with Lyons . All of a sudden he's just way too slow . Maybe he's carrying something.

I actually thought Hipwood was a bit better. Keeping him in , a good game is just around the corner. Hard to know what's going on with McStay but he certainly wasn't full pelt. We need him to really step it up. Rayner was way off in all facets of the game . Give him a mulligan.

Tunstill is obviously going to be a player but doubt he'll be there at the end of the year barring injuries.

Changes for next game

OUT: Mulligan, Mulligan , Mulligan

IN: Whoever x 3

Coleman continues to look like a first grader (at school) and plays like a first grader (at formal). He is truely awesome.

Charlie connected - been a while since he's been a game winner, but tonight he claimed that space for me.

Hated the first quarter, we can't go giving away he as head starts, but moving in the right direction.

Are you regretting your protest now?
I caved and went to the game with my son.

Yes, my protest was futile. But I still think rewarding players purely on effort is a valuable exercise.

So shout me down. I can cope.

First quarter sucked, but four posters and losing your captain early don't help.

Nothing like a good win to make me want to do this earlier.

Jeeze asked a lot of young Jimmy given the limited rotations. Was gasssed in the fourth but a solid game. Keen to see how he goes with a few pre seasons under his belt.

Yeah........ it was a truly weird quarter of football.

It felt like we could/maybe should have been down by 3 or 4 goals.

On the other hand, if the posters all go in, we "should" have been up by couple of goals.

Also, the second half of the first quarter "felt" a lot better than the first half, if that makes any sense.

Maybe we're better off starting a bit sluggishly and building into the game. That's typically the way Richmond won Premierships over the last few years and still work their way back into games when they look ripe for the picking

In both our losses to Freo and Melbourne, we looked like a million bucks early, didn't convert and then crumbled when they brought the heat after quarter time.

Sometimes you can be ahead on the scoreboard but still feel like you are behind the game

I had that very uneasy feeling at quarter time against the Demons, when I just knew they were going to bring their A game sooner or later and that their A game was going to test us to our limits.

Unfortunately, we just weren't up to it on the night

Tonight the proverbial shoe was on the other foot and once we brought our A game, the Dogs couldn't go with us.

Didn't watch the game tonight as I was busy.

How was the umpiring? Was it even or did they favour the dogs?

Yeah I am still gutted with last season's semi final result as they favoured the dogs.

Milux , was it a convincing win?
I was at the game, there was maybe 2 decisions the crowd went off about but I picked a couple that the dogs should have got so I'd say the unpinning was ok both ways.

Stoked the Lions got the win in Bezza's 100th

Lions finally have a face to face player sponsor night this year (was ZOOM the last 2 years)

Looking forward to catching up with my boy BEZZA!!!!!!!!!

I'm absolutely delighted that Bezza (aka Jerry) is playing to the level that I always believed he could.

He copped a fair bit of harsh criticism on this board over the last couple of years with some doubting his bona-fides as a genuine AFL player.

He's had some terrible illness and injury concerns over the journey but has pushed through them all. He's an A grade player and an A grade person

Credit to Fages for keeping faith with him and rightly so.

No-one trains harder, runs harder or tries harder than Bez..

Well done young man.
