we will get slaughtered imo.. im ok with it & I'd be over the moon to be proven wrong.

our next patch of good form isn't far away - north to saints.
You will be proven wrong. Reckon Sicily not playing might be the difference in a close one. Ward for a tall please. Need more run and spread especially against a fairly one paced side.

How TF is that not choosing to stay?
Well he did choose to stay but that isn’t something we should be celebrating and just handing him games for.. the club wanted him out to help kick start their rebuild and GWS had a clear role for him and at that point believed they were in the position to contend…

Now we’re stuck with a near useless aging veteran who we gave up a huge trade package for- he can’t get a game and would be worth nothing in a trade…

I hope this is not why he is not getting a game or not being played in the midfield when in the seniors. Otherwise it is pretty juvenile. He did give a lot up to come to the club.

Don't think we need to debate Wingard's potential inclusion. I'd be surprised to see DGB coming in this week either, unless the coaches disliked Scrimshaw's performance as much as the fans on this forum. To me it was just a final confirmation that he's either playing in the wrong position, or in the wrong headspace. Needs to reinvent himself over the summer.

I wonder how CJ's match preparation is. On the MCG I'd consider bringing him back for limited game time.

Is Finn a chance? Was one of the few BH players with a positive review (other than Ward). Appears he’s playing as a lockdown defender who can rotate into middle and has done a few good defensive jobs at BH on smalls and talls (more 3rd tall).

The bye stat is as useful as disposal efficiency. 7 of 8 favourites won. Stop curnow break even at clearances we are a good chance.

The bye stat is all I've got and I'm running with it.
:muscle:

I wondered this also as we lacked outside defensive run but i think it is still unlikely.

Expecting Wingard to come into the side over the coming weeks and then be given a run of at least 4 weeks, body permitting, to show why he might be given a contract beyond this year. It will be up to him to show if he can still play at the required level.

Is Harry a chance this week?
I wouldn't have thought so. I think he could now be rated down in the pecking order after he was given a good run early in the season and played modestly. I reckon Bramble is his direct swap and unless Morrison is burning it up at Box Hill or there are injuries, I don't think he gets a run.

I think Chad is past that stage. If he wants another contract then we'll see it on the scoresheet at Box Hill. We don't need the version of Chad who comes in to contribute 14 disposals, 3 inside 50s and 1 tackle. We can get that output from Butler, Brockman or O'Sullivan. But we could sure use the Chad who kicks 2 goals and takes 2 contested marks from 21 disposals, who sets the standard for our younger players and brings others into the game. If he's not motivated to get back to his best, I really don't see why we would give him another run of games.

yeah I agree with that but I can also see how they will give him that opportunity. I cant see him playing at Box Hill for the remainder of the year. Either way the ball is in his court

Do we give a bloke a new contract who may or may not do something flashy every few weeks?

IMO we try to trade him and get a late draft pick, or we send him out to pasture because he looks cooked to me. I would rather we pump games into Butler and Brocky and anyone else on our list who we think can play the small forward role.

Didn't think his BH review was glowing. I think there are others on the list we need to see at the top level we know what Harry brings.
