Lynch can go back and forward which is an advantage considering West Coast's tall forward line, but Gamble kicked 4 goals, also unlikely to be dropped.

AFL website & Superfooty both have him at 59%

Yep.

10 effective disposals out of 17. Not that flash.

But to get a feel for disposals in general play (i.e. excluding the 4 goals), not that I needed it, 6 effective disposals out of 13.

46% (think I said 43% before, so apologies)

Meh, we suck. At least the players actually looked like they cared this week, regardless of their incompetence.
There were a few who cared about playing the man rather than the ball

What classes a clanger?

From wiki: direct disposal to the opposition, free kick against, dropped mark or fumble under no pressure, 50m penalty conceded.

Superfooty had Gamble with 3 clangers, including 2 frees conceded (should have been 3 frees if anyone else noticed an interesting rule interpretation by the umpire - although maybe they were making up for some other shockers).

If by cared you mean, tried to get the opposition players to respond to their niggle all day then they cared I guess.
Fair dinkum, brogan flies the flag but at least he can play. Mores the pity he's retiring as port will be awful without him.

I checked Superfooty and it had him with one clanger??? Anyways no real difference between one and 3.

I think Gamble will remain in the side for the remainder of the year given Siposs appears to be carrying an ailment.

Let's hope he can keep hitting the scoreboard (or a teammate :thumbsu:)

Rooey is damaging when he's actually allowed to compete 1 on 1. Need another tall get out target next week to compete against the Eagles press.

Interesting that he gets more one-on-ones when at FF. Teams plan on swarming across our half forward line to combat him and, more generally, presses are intended to push up the ground. So, hey presto, push him back and it's harder to double team him despite the smaller amount of space in that part of the ground.

The next question, then, is what to do with Kosi if he comes back. He actually has looked reasonably mobile this year (I think his performances have been better than reviewed - eg he was on fire for the seven minutes before being concussed vs Melb, and he was good v Geelong), so it's not inconceivable that they could push him up the ground a little.

Worried by our last quarter fadeouts, we can't blame it on the bye this week. Really need to look at our fitness levels. Percentage could be all-important at the end of the season.

The last two years our first quarters have been appalling. All of a sudden, this year they're great. It's the rest of he game that's been rubbish (see, eg the Hawks game - kicked five-nil in the first and then got pumped).

I think before last weeks game we had only won 2 or 3 second qtrs for the entire year!!
