Last week many thought Simpson would get sacked. He didn't and they played better. So you can just as easily say if they kept Dew they would respond.

I don't think the Gold Coast are playing that badly. In fact they are warm favourites to beat us. With that in mind I'm rapt that they've sacked Dew this week, it could give us a better chance of winning.

Teams are something like 5-8 in the last 13 matches the week after a coach gets sacked. 38% strike rate. You could assume their strike rates are a bit worse than this before the coach goes which could suggest a small boost. Doesn't change much for mine. Still confident.
