He was given one game in 2020 playing as a half forward when our ball movement was widely panned. But he was a midfielder/winger. C Brown was consistently chosen above him though Broomhead played better in the 2nds. When Brown was brought in, he always was given a run in the middle. Just my opinion, but I kept a close eye on it.

I always hate it when yound mids are dumped on the HFF. Either play them in the midfield or dont play them.

Or if they’re elite ball users, try them off half back. As we have with N daicos. I actually reckon. Broomhead would suit our game style now. But I know I’m an outlier.

I reckon Ginnivan and our other smaller forward would be dying of thirst had they played 2019-2020 under Buckley and we’d all think they were no good.

Was my first time experiencing an interstate pies game and what a game to witness!! They had us early when it was so dark and dreary, they turned the lights on and we lit up in the first!! (Was starting to wonder if electricity had made it to Adelaide!!!)
No more needs to be said about Nick, other than is it too late to get Peter to father a few more sons!!
Pendles early on wound the clock back, was a privilege to be there for game 350! (Even got my ugly mug on the CFC Facebook page 😬😬)
Massive props to Carmichael, he was having a mare early on, to the point he really looked out of his depth, but credit to him he turned it around and had an influence!
AJ will be a player, just has that footy sense about him, and the curve on goal 2 was great to see! I particularly liked him getting into McAdam as he was lining up for goal (which he missed!!) good to have indigenous talent again!
Bianco was similar, a bit rusty early but played a great role throughout the game!
The best thing is we’ve got a team that plays for each other, they are like a bunch of mates out for a kick together, was good to see this comraderie at the captains run yesterday, gives a very different insight than game day. You can also see the respect they have for Fly already!
My biggest like from the game was watching every single player sprint from all ends of the ground to get around AJ after his first goal.
We are building something special here!!
That’s enough from me I’m going to drink more beer and eat bbq at the beer and bbq festival! Adelaide does have some redeeming features!!!
Go the mother effing pies!!!!!
That was very much how I saw the performance of the young guys, in that they worked their way into the game after ordinary starts. I thought the inexperienced guys would cost us a win, but loved being proved wrong.

You said the opposite, that’s what the opposite mean. You’re right you didn’t imply you explicitly said it.

Nah, you're implying that's what I meant but a review of my posting history will demonstrate I never use such negative language about our players. Happy for you to cite any instance where I have specifically and deliberately done so.

Grats to Pendles on what has been a stellar career. One of my favourites for years who I hope cracks 400 games.

As an aside, got any more of those Daicos brothers to sell? Nick is an absurdity. Very lucky to get to enjoy watching him play for the next decade+
Bad luck. It was a hard fought game.

Absolutely. With us stuck out in sea I'll be on Collingwood come finals. All these close wins can't be good for the heart as a supporter, but the confidence to win in the last 5 minutes reliably can only be doing the youth there a mountain of good. Honestly couldn't ask for two better players to learn from when it comes to standing up when the game is on the line than Sidebottom and Pendlebury.

Just as those who said no way would Henry be dropped were wrong. His replacement today in Johnson could well keep Henry out of the team next week and longer. Johnson's 2 goals were important today and he could have kicked more. A very encouraging debut.

Mc Creery seems to be a bit of a last quarter specialist. He was most prominent when the game was tight and tough. Yet another week where his fierce tackling and run have been vital in the final quarter.

And I will quite happily admit I never thought Bianco would make the grade as an AFL player. At the beginning of the game, I thought he looked a trifle overweight. At the end of the game, I still thought him a little too broad across the hips, but he must have generated as many possessions today as he has done in all his AFL games combined.

Carmichael gave us a bit of strength in the clearances and also looked like he will be hard to displace from the side. When both De Goey and Adams return, as well as Grundy, there are going to be some soul searching moments come selection time.

Player development seems a lot better under the new coaching team.

He's been building at VFL level. Had 35 possessions last week against North. A 20 possession game doesn't confirm a senior career. That he had an equal game high DE% of 90% helps. It's a nice step in the right direction. Tough decisions for selectors with Adams and IQ likely to return for next Sunday's clash.

Fantastic performance by some of your players, too, particularly Thilthorpe and Walker.

I can accept you didn’t mean in that way but that’s the only way opposite can be interpreted in that context.

Never in doubt! This is how we do it!! How amazing is Nick Daicos? This is one very special footballer and he's all ours for the next 15 years. My God, how horrific would it have been if he ended up at Carlton of something like that?
No, no, no, ... nup.

Don't even.

I don't want that image in my head.

Nick in 35, thanks.

Didn’t you notice Underwood going on about how it would be really harsh for Adelaide to lose it from here when we were up with 5 minutes to go.
I noticed at about 2 minutes to go in the 4th she said Adelaide deserved to win, pause for a few seconds then said so do Collingwood, and i was like WTF!!!

I don't ever want to hear her commentate a CFC game ever!!! or any game. The anti Collingwood statements aside, she was just horrible.

I'm now pretty convinced that the whole media against high tackle thing is just anti Jack Ginnivan, there just seems to be difference rules for him. Am i wrong?????

It was a hard slog today, players slipping and sliding exept for Niacos, that kids is just a talent with just a cheap :p:p:p 40 posessions and 3 goals.

Well done the Pendles, what an absolute champion of the CFC.

Carmichael was great, AJ and even Bianco showed something.

Oh and well done Tex, you may have got that free and 50 metre penalty, for what i don't know, should of gone to Ginnivan, i hope you enjoyed that goal, i'm gonna enjoy the 4 points.

Naicos what can I say. Watched JHF in the Norf game, he’s a bit of a joke atm. If he’s trying to get out of the club he’s doing a good job.
I think the arguments have been settled. Nick over JHF and the Daicos bros over all the other brothers. Mind you if the Kings want to play with us I think we can make room.
