People are idiots. Be mad at the action, not at his skin tone.

Oh ffs people we don’t want this, find them and strip their membership if they have one and stamped never again. What is wrong with people, yes I’m mad at him for whacking Murph but it’s footy it happens Ffs.

Congratulations on the win, you guys are never beaten.

That was a great game of footy, Craig Macrae said it was the best game he's been involved in during the past 2 years.

Tough loss to swallow, but both sides put on a great advertisement for the game.
I felt totally exhausted after watching it. It was such a high quality game from start to finish.

Bunch of morons. I hope they're identified and never want them able to attend our matches.

Bobby was quiet and there is a worry about him performing in big games. There was one play that shows the sort of thing he needs to do to keep his spot: ran down from a long way off to tackle Finalyson just as he was about to shoot at goal or pass into the 50.

Think he might be the ideal sub if he's not impacting enough.
The thing in his favour is quite simply there is no one in the squad with his skillset. None of the small forwards in the VFL bring his explosiveness and even if he only touches the ball 5 times, the impact he can have with that speed cannot be replicated by anyone competing with him for a role. Maybe we eventually see Harrison compete, but he's probably the only one and even he isn't anywhere near as explosive.

McRae's entire gameplan is built on speed, and having elite speed on every line of the field is pretty necessary to the way he wants to play. Hill was targeted specifically because he had a skillset entirely missing from our squad. I actually don't like McStay that much, because I think his decision making in general field of play is quite poor (complete tunnel vision and often lack of awareness), but he does provide a level of stability straightening the side up as a big bodied marking target where I also understand the recruitment and why I think like Hill, he also likely stays in the side even if he were to have some poor games, unlike let's say Ginnivan and Johnson, who might be their direct replacements. I think their skillsets might matter a bit more to Fly than their actual performances (not to say they wouldn't get dropped if they had an extended run of poor form). Whereas one bad game from Ginni or Johnson on a call up and they are gone with a full team.

I mean Lets not pretend it was a bad game either. He held such a high standard with his performances that 25 possessions 9 clearances and a goal is now considered a bad game… i mean c’mon

I thought he was quiet as was his brother and De Goey, which along with Mitchell's game to forget left us deficient in the engine room. Josh stepped up too in the last quarter, but most of our mids were beaten tonight. Our defence kept us in the contest along with a Herculean effort by Elliott.

That’s a pretty astonishing opening line considering Nick had 25 disposals, 9 clearances and a goal while being molested.
Yeah, he was down on his normal output, but sat back on his arse? Take a breath there champ.
Taylor Adams was interviewed after the game. Said that Daicos was beaten in the first half. Adams kept his morale up by reminding him he was untaggable for 4 quarters. And he did lift in the last. He was very good in the last. Adams was rapt with the way Daicos fought it out.
So was I.
Anybody with any nous could see that.
Go re-watch the game.
Legend.

Most of our mids?…. Adams, Pendles, Sidebottom and Crisp were very good. Nick was very solid.

He absolutely did not get sat on his arse. I think you need to watch the replay. Did lots of things which do not get you stats. And 9 clearances and a clutch goal. Please. Watch the replay tomorrow.
His best quarter was his last.
And you know what, it meant we won.
I’m not hanging shit on the kid. I was actually proud of his game, because for 3 quarters he got sat on, Drew and Rozee were rampant and in the end, he powered on. He didn’t drop his head.
Nick Daicos got reminded of finals where it’s very hard to run around running your own show.
And we won the clearances. I sometimes wonder if I've watched a different game to some supporters on here.
Port’s spread was much better. They squeezed DeGoey and Nick and they made it a grind. The conditions suited it. I think we are a better dry team.
But, full credit to Port. They almost executed perfectly.

Lots of holding of nick that wasn't officiated. My word we flicked a switch in the last. I wish our ruckman stuck their marks. When wr play totally obsessed footy we make avoidable errors. How do you tweak that without losing our impetuous playing style

It was a high quality, entertaining game throughout. Most players for both sides had their ebbs & flows throughout, the pressure was off the charts.

Can't wait to watch the replay tomorrow to catch the bits I missed.

Fly doesn't care about the mistakes. They need to just quickly move on. I suspect that attitude has a lot to do with why we're willing to take the game on when it's close and not be hesitant.

1. Moore blatant high fend off by Powell-Pepper - Port goal
2. Moore shoved in the back by Dixon - Port goal
3. Marshall blatant throw to Evens - Port goal
4. Cox double handed palm down pinged as a throw - Port goal

It was actually an easy win if you deduct their gifts.
Agreeing all points bar the last, that’s a throw not a palm down.

Kane Cornes on 'the round so far'.......

Nathan Murphy could be sited for staging?

What the actual ****? Whatever gear he is on.....give me some now. Strike to the head is now the fault of the victim?

We did win centre and stoppage clearances though, so our mids were getting their hands on the footy....
