if i was you i would hold nicholls for another week and play Gawn- nicholls should be back next week and is fine to keep as R2

and if you are going for overall or if you are going for leagues and need a win do birchall to hartlett but if you are sitting pretty in leagues and don't care about overall just hold trades

Nicholls should be back next week you could just play gawn or nicholls to rioli cox/ruffy to rucks.birch 2-3 weeks away i think dont burn 2 trades either one or none.

I would trade:
1. Crouch/O'meara > R.Atkins (This would open the M/F link and provide the emerg loophole in the mids)
2. Nic Nat > S.Johnson

Next week:
3. Crouch/O'meara > Griffin/Barlow/Beams

4. Priddis > Griffin/Balow/Beams
or
Nicholls > Prem ruck (depending on if Nicholls is named next week).

There is no use in having 10 mids all priced 370k or higher n your team. Trading out Crouch or O'meara for an Atkins is a must IMO.

Beams could average roughly the same as Geelong, but Beams will be a big POD. Basically it depends whether you want to go safer with Jelwood who a large amount of teams own, or risk it with Beams who could go bigger, but could also go lower, and not many teams own him.

Should I upgrade one of Houli/Staker, or Mayes, or hold fire for this week?

If you had one these guys for DPP, you could switch them to mids bench if/when you trade Kmart & Arnot (out for season) for Premo Defender,

then you have DPP option with Goddard, Heppell & Gibbs to be able to cover mids,
