Last time, Geelong came off the short break after beating Hawthorn and North played out of their skins to beat them. My team will need to do the same again to have a chance - none of the tentative, indecisive stuff that knobbled them last week. At least now the North players know they can do it and know what they need to do, after years of being the Cats' bunnies, but that will only give them a start.

Nice day, looking forward to being there. Out we come, out we come.

Our North team is much different now.
Some of our top goalscorers last time were A Edwards (4) & HMac (2).
No Harvey either, i think Geelong might have the edge.

Predict a slow start by Geelong after yet another apocalyptic Hawks game. Why does this game have to be in round 1?

Anyway. The big change for the Cats is a much faster midfield, which should counter North pretty well I think. Signs are Geelong's defence is as good as ever, so that will be interesting too.

We will need our delivery into forward 50 to be much more polished.
Hopefully Petrie can hit the scoreboard.
IIRC last year, Petrie played a decoy role, taking Taylor out of the last line of defence.

Not sure that's the way to go today. But in any case, delivery to Petrie, Hansen & Tarrant needs to be much better than last week ; Thomas & Adams to provide other options ; and we need Wells, Ziebell, Bastinac, Cunnington & Swallow to contribute a few goals too.

You never see Carlton start Judd as sub, or Collingwood start Pendles as theirs, so I wonder why Scott is starting Jacobs as sub for the roo's?

North by 11. They match up very well on the cats.
