The only thing that has surprised me this year is SPP's form. He is getting in better spots and playing more like an AFL player. Having said that he only had 11 touches this week, so might be about to fall off a cliff again.

I would feel a lot more comfortable about Wines leaving if SPP can have a solid year, someone needs to do the in and under stuff while the young guys fill out.
SPP has always performed the defensive, physical side of the game to a high AFL level. His composure and kicking has let him down but he is only 50 odd games into his career. People need to give him time to develop and he is showing that he responds to feedback and works on his game.

Great to see some excitement back in football. A neutral watching that would have been an instant convert. How long is it since you've been able to say that at a Port game? And who wouldn't want to be a part of the passion of our fanbase?

Genuine MOTY and GOTY contenders thrown in for good measure. Loved the passion our boys had for their footy, the contest and each other. Such a focus on team, and trust in each other. Best game since, well, the last time we Barred-up.

Motlop BOG, but am stoked with Boak's medal.

He played a bloody good 11 possession game. He understands his role very well now and is all about the team.
Only 11? Gee, I think SPP is one of those players whos impact is notable even when he doesn't get much of the ball, just such a presence around the ground. His kick to the advantage of Motlop I believe in the last quarter who outbodied Tom Lynch was just dirty from Sam. Looking forward to see where his game goes this year.

Very solid result. Highest score kicked in the round so far. Very good goal conversion. Many areas that can still be improved upon, but it was a stellar effort seeing that they had not played a game for 12 weeks. I have a feeling that the GC hub will only strengthen them.
So we have 3 games to play in the Gold Coast, and Crows have 4.
Wonder what we will be doing after our 3rd?

So many positives: SPP was great with his pressure and locking the ball in, won't show in the stats but very impressive. Marshall outstanding, love his field kicking. Butters, Rozee, Duursma - particularly thrilled to see Duursma's celebration include showing off the pride in the PB. McKenzie looked composed and I wasn't concerned if the ball went in his direction.

Possible critique: Dixon had a first half to forget and while he did impact the game more in the second (loved his embarrassing Tex), the marking was a worry. Bonner also a little too willing to go to ground but it didn't cost us tonight.

I enjoyed SPP's game. Seemed to always be in the thick of it letting them know he was around and affecting the disposal. Used the ball well when he had it. Could have kicked a goal if Houston had given off to him in space start of the second.

Wayne Milera did well signing that big contract he's just an average footballer

He looked completely lost out there. Or he doesn't want to be there.

Hit in with a lot of tackles, smothers and bumps. All one percenters.

His explosion away from the stoppages and improved delivery were another positive.

Honestly, if that's a bad game from Charlie he's in a good place. Still managing to kick three should be a celebrated achievement. It's exactly what you need a full forward to do.

It's being underrated. The only player we've had who could reliably get a few goals whilst being quiet at the same time has been Schulz. Even the great Tredders wasn't a stranger to donuts on his off days.

Set up other scores from ruck stoppages, brought the ball to ground when outnumbered several times, competed and laid a couple of brutish tackles.
Goin' ok is the big Chuck Wagon
