Pearce, Cox and Logue.Membrey, King & Hayes is a fairly comprehensive tall set for us to defend.
Hamling may be needed
Membrey is not that tall, Logue can play on him easily.

Steele does that to every side to be fair. I don't want Banfield in the side though, would rather let Erasmus get some runs on the board. That doesn't sum him up, it gives a fair assessment of his absolute best. How was his tag the week after on Steele?
iirc it was so he could kick on his left which also speaks volumes.More recently.
The game on the weekend when, free in the forward 50, he turns around and into an Adelaide player, instead of continuing straight and being able to deliver to a free player over the top.
Why... Just...
Lots of Walker talk to come and take the small forwards, now I haven’t got to watch him live yet but he seemed to be more of a running back rather than a lockdown back. Does he have the ability to do both? If so he’s going to be an amazing player.
I'm going to regret saying this, but I reckon he can do both.Lots of Walker talk to come and take the small forwards, now I haven’t got to watch him live yet but he seemed to be more of a running back rather than a lockdown back. Then what are Ryan/Chapman/Young/Clark doing?I thought Logue was supposed to be good at locking down small FWDs

Running back / wing seemed to suit him really well but I imagine he would defend well if given the taskLots of Walker talk to come and take the small forwards, now I haven’t got to watch him live yet but he seemed to be more of a running back rather than a lockdown back. Young and Clark are there to run and carry, Chapman is 7 games into his career and Ryan is probably more suited to the big forwards. Then what are Ryan/Chapman/Young/Clark doing?
The dream is for Clark to eventually move to the wing and Walker to take his place at back.Running back / wing seemed to suit him really well but I imagine he would defend well if given the task
Plays much like Clark does
Loves to put on the jets and eat up space
Membrey is a unit and good at overhead marking at the highest point. Logue might struggle, a good game by him would go a long way to a win.

I thought Chapman was.
We really need to win games. My thoughts on Henry, Meek and Walters:
I think we should give Henry a few more runs at it before he is dropped to Peel, we have made the commitment to him.
I also wouldn't mind giving Meek one more round which would be good for his development and allow Darcy to be 100% coming into the derby. Weather is also an unknown and should play a factor in Meek's selection.
Walters should have the next few games to prove he is b22.
Therefore my selections would be:
Banfield > Colyer/Erasmus
Cox > Walker (if fit)
I think we need to adapt our defence to the faster style of games and would therefore experiment with selection.
Which decision don't you agree with?We really need to win games.
Do you think your decisions give us the best chance to beat the Saints?
Chapman just played on a 6 goal small forward. I liked the post where Rachelle's goals were looked at, and I don't hold Chapman responsible, but I'm also not convinced he is the best option.

If this was a "must win" game (which it is) I would find it difficult to justify including Henry, Walters and Meek. We have better options.Which decision don't you agree with?
I have said this a few times last seasonThey can all kick a goal, that’s setting the bar pretty low. Nothing wrong with Banfield playing a run with role. But you could insert Crowden’s name in this discussion.
I don’t see a finals team. Or even a GF team with such low production in front of goal.
Unless we go back to the manic pressure and restricting the oppositions scoring and it still only got us 1 GF appearance.
Games changed, so we have to create score board pressure, and that includes accuracy.
