I understand the reasoning behind him I do.
But for him to be of beneficiary you want to see him score tons or big scores, not a constant 70-90 which I can see him doing over the next month. The way to make cash fast is to lower the breakeven with big scores, we all know that catch.
Plus Naismith is not in the same caliber as those aforementioned rucks.
And the nonsensical thing is that people are considering dropping Gawn for him. Ludicrous

I'd be shocked if he doesn't go better than a constant 70-90. 90 average as a minimum.

Can we just all sit back and remember Naismith has played 23 games since his debut in 2014 and the most he’s ever averaged is 69? Has only two tons in his CAREER and he played ROB Rd 1.
Let’s not sit here and pretend a guy who’s priced at 250k is gonna be the best cash cow of the season. He’s just as likely to score shit and has Goldy English Gawn after Bellchambers this week. God people are quick to jump off one game lmaooo

Someone wanna do the math on scores of 95, 75, 90, 65 for the next month for Naismith given his draw. Limp to 400-450k AT BEST I’d say.

Did you watch him play Round 1?

We had exactly the same discussion before R1. Naismith has never been the solo ruck. Plus he's hitting prime age as a ruck. Normally I'd be the first person to point to historical scores as the best pointer to future performance but in Naismith's case you have to consider these factors.

I took the punt on him in R1 and wasn't disappointed.
R1. Nice.

But would you trade Grundy or Gawn out for him this round if you didn't have him...

Is McAcey out suspended was he one of the players suspended?
That was Stengle .....Doedee back, hopefully McAsey holds his position over Hartigan

He is staying in at R3.

I've taken a huge risk. I have traded in Bennell. I don't know how I feel about myself.

I went:
TKelly to Viney
Crisp to Howe
Rankine to Sturt
Green to Bennell
Xerri to Naismith

I'm happy with 4 out of 5.

To all the Sam Naismith truthers, hold firm. Darcy Cameron will hold it down this week as we wait for our lord and saviour to recover from tightness.

I have never ever been so disinterested in a football season starting

Also, I have no Geelong and Hawthorn players so Friday night footy is a fizzer
Danger price drop watch can be fun

Should also consider his historical durability issues.
