Not sure why you are so eager to trade. Rookies are known for massive scoring fluctuations - McGrath or Hannan could easily pump out 40 next week or Otten or Hibberd (if he survives) 80. Trades are worth money too. At least wait one more round.

I agree only flick a rookie if he is a LTI or hasn't been picked

Hannan looked really impressive, anyone that doesn't have him, needs him IMO. Mature age, didn't have a preseason and straight in their best side. Will easily play the next 6+ games and average 70+.
I want Hannan definitely.

Butler is also on my list. If he plays well Thursday night, I'll bring in Hannan early to give me the flexibility of 2 trades for the major price rises.

Relax people, you chose them for a reason. Trading out premos after 1 game is a surefire way to end up with no trades come finals time

I traded Cripps and Swallow out for Heppell and Oliver.

Cripps isn't fit so I don't want to lose money on him. Swallow to Oliver because I have the cash in the bank and can afford to.

Higher priced picks are known quantities, where with rookies things can change very quickly. Butler for instance is a small forward who played against Carlton and scored way above his JLT form suggested he would. Could score 20 this week.

He's done it to me b4 .....he has superb games, but in recent seasons he handballs more than kicks, impacting his scoring .....and he always coasts against the lower sides ....i'd suggest Port are a lower ranked side
