This is why I'm conflicted right now. The good news ppl are saying 1-2 other reports say longer. Who knows if stretches out longer and how it will impact him when he does return.

Cheers mate! Yeah you are correct it was a case of trying to get a better score but I guess my team is okay. I was going to get Dusty straight in but I should wait another week considering there will be no price changes!

Think about getting the higher scoring ROOKIES after this round coming up.

Other than that it looks fine.

This year I tried really hard to get a good break out team for the start of the year and have been looking on this forum for expert advice as I know most of you make the top level.

I got in the top 37% at the end of the round. I personally was really happy with this and breaking the 2k points mark. However I realise most of you scored well above my score which made me think I am still in need of some significant help to get a decent team!

In general terms I am no SuperCoach Genius but I am going to include pictures of my team and if anyone has any advice that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much, I know its early in the season but if I need to make swaps I will do them before the price changes at round three.

I am thinking of taking out Dan Hannebery and putting Dusty straight in as a start? What are people thoughts on this.. Ive included my team in pictures below!

With Roo out anywhere from 2-6 weeks who do you suppose i replace him with? No way i am parking 600k on the bench for that long with no clear timetable on a return, Saints will also not rush him back early.

Rookie forwards are all poo as well.

By sending Hibberd forward and Parfitt to the mids, I can trade J Smith for Hannan or Butler (or essentially any other rookie under $130k). No reason to do it this week, will see which is the best performed rookie over two weeks (with a guaranteed game for the third) and pull the trigger then.

Unless I'm missing something, how does that work Smith is a def only

Hanners has had a total of 6 of 44 (13%) games under 90 in the last 2 years. He's had 20 of 44 (45%) games over 120. He's averaged 114.5 & 113.4. It's going be be ok.

I wouldn't change a thing. You got unlucky with Cripps & Hannebery having poor games. Hold them. More than likely they'll pump out 120+ scores each this week.
Rookies are alright.
it's a nice team. You have to back in your players. This is the part of the season where you get your trades for the finals
You don't need to trade this week. Maybe one rookie correction that might emerge when teams come out but there is no reason you should be making a trade now.

DEF will look like: Boyd, Laird, Sherro, Lonners, Bartel, Weitering (Adams, Uber) Tippa in forwards swing.

Surely people aren't trading out Hannebury, Cripps or Gray after 1 game.
Relax people, you chose them for a reason. Trading out premos after 1 game is a surefire way to end up with no trades come finals time

Means I wouldn't have to worry about fielding one of Stewart/Otten, giving me a more stable DEF.

apart from Roo and Dahl i couldnt find a forward that i thought was worth paying for so maybe its not such a bad way to go.
